I’ll never understand how people can tell a women she has no autonomy over her body and her right to reproduce or not And I'll never understand how people can be trans exclusionary radical feminists who don't acknowledge that men can have babies as well and fail to use the preferred term, which is birthing persons.

That made me chuckle. But seriously, if somebody tried to force my daughter to birth a rape baby, more than that fetus would be exterminated.

I would surmise that your daughter would be smart enough to know whether she was pregnant within 6 weeks of being assaulted.

Not to mention the way the GQP praises Regeneron and use that for treatments, like Gov Abbott did. Hey dipshit, did you know that they use fetal tissue to have come up with this treatment option?? Fuck off hypocrite fascists.

This fucking asshole stole my idea. I posted a zone flood of frivolous lawsuits strategy before this even became law. All you need is a model petition, Republican voter rolls, and nominal filing fees. I could literally, with assistance, sue thousands of Republicans daily under this law with absolutely zero risk of sanction.

Tell me what my nominal filing fees are and I'll start spreading word on gathering more fees. As some commentator said. Dems need to stop playing by the rules of what is "the right thing to do". Fucking Republicans would justify killing Jesus/raping Mary (or their grandmothers) if it gave them a political advantage or was thought to trigger a liberal. We need to find a safe Dem state and get some forced vasectomy laws on the books for various infractions. Set the precedent and eventually increase the tie-ins to Republican leaning actions. Protest while armed? - that's a snipping. Run a religious/political scam? - that's a snipping.

Democrats are far too feckless and weak to deal with these seditious theocratic fascists.
There’s only one way to stop these people and it rests outside of recognized political and legal norms.
The great tragedy of human history is that good people have routinely lacked the necessary will to eradicate the obviously evil ones.

I could literally, with assistance, sue thousands of Republicans daily under this law with absolutely zero risk of sanction. Which part of the statute removes any risk of sanction? I see this provision "(i) Notwithstanding any other law, a court may not award costs or attorney ’s fees under the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure or any other rule adopted by the supreme court under Section 22.004, Government Code, to a defendant in an action brought under this section." If I were sued under this, I would bring a separate action for abuse of process, which is a distinct intentional tort. That would be a separate proceeding, not an action brought under that section that 86s loser pays fee shifting. Now if you would want to roll the dice that the Texas Supreme Court would let a bunch of libruhls sue every Republican in Texas, be my guest, but good luck getting the intentional tort discharged in bankruptcy when you ultimately have to file. I didn't read the whole statute and just glanced at it, but I did a control f for Rule 13, which is the analog to Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 11(b) requiring due inquiry into the validity of the suit. While the portion I quoted above is a problem for fees, it doesn't do shit to negate a contempt charge. County jail in Texas sure sounds nice.

Prove to me that TX Republican stances and actions regarding Covid will not result in a single pregnant woman (and child) dying. I'll get on that right after you show me precisely where in the Constitution abortion is a protected right. Irregardless of that, the statute specifically deals with a doctor performing an abortion, not a fetal death from another cause and your "witty" point shows a fundamental lack of understanding of Anglo-American common law whereby a burden of proof is placed on the party advancing a case. Just because you believe patently false information that you read on The Twitter doesn't make it true. At the end of the day, I think this is a stupid fucking law. I think the Virginia one from a few years ago was stupid as fuck, too. This is what happens when you have ideologue extremists on both sides trying to spike the fucking football. It's just utterly stupid shit. If a woman wants to have an abortion first trimester fucking fine. I don't care. They need to get a case to the SCOTUS where the SCOTUS just says "Here is Planned Parenthood v. Casey again, here is the floor and the ceiling. No one will like the decision, but fuck you, tough shit. We split the proverbial baby so stop fucking with statutes and stop bringing cases under this shit."
