Socal, You pay $27 for a subscription to football guys? You know there are other sites out there that are probably just as good for free? I was interested to see the Draft Dominator program though, but I'm not paying just to look. Maybe I can find something to download for free.... I did up through preparations for last year... then I didn't rejoin the 3 leagues I was usually in. And likely won't this year. (kind of an addict quitting cold turkey) Over the years - I've subscribed to about a half dozen different sites, and found others have better ongoing "info" - but (IMO) the Draft Dominator program was worth at least half the membership cost. Edit: I still have a copy of the 2006 version I could e-mail you - so you can see what the program does. PM me if you're interested.

Do you just put in your league settings and the program determines projected point totals, and ranks, for all players off of that? If so, I found a program for free last year that did that. It was a pretty decent tool, but of course, luck is still one of the biggest factors. At any rate I'm not willing to pay anything for something I'm already pretty good at. I've kept this a secret for a couple of years and haven't told anyone about it, especially those in my leagues that matter, even my best friend, but www.fantasyfootballcafe.com is a great resource. It is a message board and has die-hard members that do all the research for you. It has been a great resource for me. They let me know about Colston 2 years ago before the season started when he had TE eligibility. That was a GREAT pickup. Right now the site is pretty dead, but once things start happening and we get about a month away from the season it will get pretty busy over there.

Yes, you put in your league's scoring/lineup rules - and you can have it predict your totals. No, that's not all it does. It's a MS Access (VB) program that uses those point expectations - and: -Creates a draft order -Tracks the draft by team, position, etc. (with a timer) -As players fall off the list, it changes the rankings of "best available"... and the dropoff from that player to the "next" best available player. -When the draft is done, it analyzes the teams drafted & predicts point totals. Also, you can put in your schedule & have it guess head to head scores. Sounds complicated, but it's quite user friendly. I liked it mainly for the twice a week ranking updates & the automatic removal of all drafted players from the available pool / assignment to teams by position.

I really thought that the jokeiness of my comments were obvious because they were so over the top. bince apparently they were not, I sincerely apologize to Twine for making fun of him. Sorry your so damned gay! LOLOLOLOL!!!!!11! Is that the best you could come up with? Man, you are a laugh riot. The only reason I said anything to begin with is because I have seen you write the same type of thing on other threads, only to be called out that you are being hypocritical. Talking shit about bloggers when you write them yourself. You are the gay douchebag. . . gay douchebag. I may have enjoyed your sense of humor when I was 12.

But I say who gives a crap. When I join a league again, I could care who mocks me when my RB2 gets 79 rushing yards & 18 receiving... where the 3 yard deficit causes me to lose... Or during a season where I have the highest overall team point total, but in week 8 - I have a 3-5 record due to my crappy total opponents having their highest point games of the season vs. me (which caused me to make this picture of the screwing I'd undertaken) I'll rant..... anyways.

Again, writing 4 blog posts 6 months ago, I feel, does not qualify me as a blogger. Still, those blog posts were funny as hell, and if they make me a blogger, then I am the funniest fucking blogger of all time, and everyone else who blogs sucks ass. They suck more ass than fantasy football players! And just for the record, I think the last time I found FF interesting was when I was 14 (honestly), so I think we are at about the same maturity level here!

If I was drafting 10th and 11th, I would pick up two premium WRs with those picks. Unless you can get Tomlinson or Peterson, I wouldn't count on a RB to lead you to the promised land. Remember Steven Jackson's stats last season? What about Larry Johnson's? If you could get any two from the following list -- Terrell Owens, Randy Moss, Braylon Edwards, Plaxico, Marvin Harrison, Kevin Kasper, Chad Johnson, etc. -- you should be pretty solid.
You can always find a serviceable running back in the later rounds. Remember that many teams are not going to the "running back by committee" approach.

I ended up picking Reggie Wayne and TO.
Fire away at how poor you may think these picks are. It's a gamble but it may pay off (we get an extra point per reception).

You no doubt have great WRs. Being that it is a PPR league makes not getting a top RB more bearable. Who else did you end up with. I have 9th pick in a 10 team and will consider taking a WR with one of my first picks.

In this league we get points per reception, so these picks shouldn't be too bad. I think I'll be getting Matt Hasslebeck and Jamal Lewis with my next two picks.

Hasselbeck in the 3rd??? Don't do it. Keep in mind that I have back to back picks and wont pick again until picks 60 and 61, so far these QB's have been taken: Brady P. Manning Romo Derek Anderson Phillip Rivers Rothelisberger Carson Palmer Brees TD's are worth 6 pts in this league also so QB's have a slightly elevated value, the only other QB's I would consider are: Jay Cutler Matt Leinart (I'm thinking heavily about this one) Marc Bulger Jon Kitna David Garrard Farve Vince Young Jake Delhomme It's a tough pick. I'll be picking sometime throughout the day today.

Matt Leinart (I'm thinking heavily about this one) At first glance I thought you said "I'm drinking heavily about this one."

Here is my team after the first 4 rounds:
Reggie Wayne, Terrell Owens, Matt Hasslebeck, Jamal Lewis.
I'm pretty satisfied with these picks, from here on out it's second/third stringers, D, and a kicker.

I rolled 14 on my 20 sided die, and entered the Chamber of Forbidden Pleasures. My Wizard encountered a dragon Orc with a guilded battle ax. I use my ramskin sheath for +4 vitality, and then unleash my rod of charm.

Ghost thinks FFL is for losers, and he is right to a small degree, I guess. So is playing video games, watching sports, drinking beer, surfing the internet, etc. etc.
Also, I think we are fine as long as nobody plays their Grevan Ivec.
