Is anyone else on her completely fascinated with serial killers or I just one sick son of a bitch? I just get drawn into those shows on A&E or Discovery that talk about them. I would love to know what makes them tick.

I love(maybe not love but extreme fascination anyway) serial killers and hardcore criminals in general. I have a 6 volume Time-Life series of books on the subject. I have the book 'Bloodletters and Badmen' which is an encyclopidia of American crime. I have several books on Al Capone, prohibition and the mob influence back in the day. I read that Maury Terry 'Son of Sam' book which had a Satanic slant to it several years ago. I get giddy when it comes to true crime and gore. I love America.

I am fascinated by serial killers, too. I watch and read quite a bit about them. I can't explain it, and probably shouldn't even try.
But I am even more fascinated by the Mafia. It is interesting to me what has happened to the Mafia due to RICO and the government and banks taking over what used to be their core businesses. I am reading Jimmy Breslin's latest book, "The Good Rat" and it is very good - I recommend it.

I watch that shit to like its a bad habit. I like all that organized crime stuff, and all the serial killers stories. Who do you think is the worse Serial Killer of all time? For me my favorite is Richard Kuklinski aka THE ICEMAN! He is the scariest dude I ever watched, he is so cold and heartless. Claimed he murdered up to 200 people, he was a hitman for the Gambino Family. Also claimed he was part of the group who had something to do with Jimmy Hoffa's disappearance. He'd kill people with cyanide which is crazy, he'd freeze peoples bodies for months then lay them around the city so it'd mess up autopsies. Insane if you ever get the chance watch this guys biography, its crazy!

One of the most prolific is the Green River Killer Gary Ridgeway. Admitting to killing 42, but police think he killed at the very least 7 more. Sick son of a bitch that guy. Hell, they're all sick I guess.

I would love to know what makes them tick. I too, have a strange fascination with serial killers and other things that are taboo in nature. I don't get to watch the shows about them on TV much due to the queasiniess (SP?) of my wife, but it's a past time for me when it comes to reading.

Ed Gein.
He was Dahmer before Dahmer arrived.

Ed Gein was a sick fuck. I just watched a show on him the other day. He had a necklace made out of females nipples, lampshades made out of human skin, and some other "everyday household items" made out of human body parts. One of the sickest around IMO.

I got the creepy-crawlies just knowing their was someone that cold and deadly in the world. The guy would kill a person as easily as most people would swat a fly. A real-life natural born killer.

Ted Bundy's story is quite fascinating. The guy goes out, murders a ton of chicks in Washington, Utah, and Colorado, then gets caught. He escapes, makes his way to Florida, tries to go straight, then he snaps and kills a few more chicks before getting caught again. Goes on death row, then tries to postpone his execution by spilling his guts about all the women he killed and going Hannibal Lecter by helping authorities catch the Green River killer. In the end he still got to meet Ol' Sparky.
