slap the shit out of the guy in the office next to mine for not turning his GD country music down? The last 2 Friday's everyone in the office has taken vacation except for the 2 of us. The first week he had it kinda loud, last week it was real loud and I tried to be nice and ask if he would turn it down. He did for about 30 minutes then it was loud again. When he left for lunch I took the XM plug in cord and hid it until the end of the day. He ratted on me and I was told not to take his property. Most everyone is out again tomorrow and I may lose it if this shit starts again.

Maybe you should take his stapler. He will spend all day looking for that and won't be able to listen to his music.

Take your own music to work and turn it up as loud as you can so that it will drown out his music. If he turns his up, you turn yours up.

Hey thanks for the insight. I have XM in my office too but keep it down to like background music volume level. I'm on the phone a lot and that is another reason the loud shit has to stop. He does mostly database stuff and is rarely on the phone.

Bring in your own ghetto blaster and play Slayer at maximum volume.

Bring in your own ghetto blaster and play Slayer at maximum volume. While Slayer would be more my style, I'm thinking gangsta rap would be more abrasive to a country fan. Maybe a little T Baby "So Cold in the 'D'.

Haven't these f*ckers ever heard of headphones. It's not that hard of a concept.
Some greasy f*cker in the cube next to my friends was listening to talk radio too loud the other day. Made me do a Milton impression, "I was told I could listen my radio at a reasonable volume". The dude also farts without shame and is just a d-bag in general.
Lack of headphones is a major office pet peeve of mine.

Bring in your own ghetto blaster and play Slayer at maximum volume. +1 Sounds like the dude needs to get "Slayer rolled". Err... or something.

If he is interfering with your work then the boss should make him turn it down. If that fails to work I would be like sort of walking by with a cup of coffee and maybe stop by his desk to say hi and "accidentally" spill your coffee on his radio. Providing he isn't touching it he shoudn't be electrocuted.
