Even though a PAULA really isn't shit as far as offenses go.

Ferentz would have been given a breathalyzer for sure. If he had blown, there would have been further charges. He wasn't charged with open container...but maybe someone else in the car was. All he has to do is be within arms length of alcohol to be charged with a PAULA.

A fucking PAULA during a traffic stop? what a joke. I am sure they got pulled over for going 27 in a 25 zone.
I swear UH cops have nothing better to do that fuck with people going a couple of miles over the speed limit.

Here is KF's statement:
“I was extremely disappointed to learn of James’ very poor decision making on several levels. This offense will be treated seriously and his punishment will include immediate and total suspension from all team activities. In addition, he will be required to attend counseling sessions and fulfill substantial community service obligations over the next six weekends. I realize this is a severe penalty but it’s just given our current circumstances. The fact that James is also my son only complicates an already tough situation.â€
Now if he would just treat the other offense seriously and suspend KOK immediatly from all team activities.

I don't know, really. But what I know of cops in that area, it's very plausible.

He used to date a girl I worked with, I was buddies with him for a while but that dude is fucking crazy.

Eh, I wrote a long post about how much the Iowa City cops suck (even outside my little incident), but fuck it.
They suck ass, to summarize.

The fucking hard on for shitbag IC and UH cops to squeeze a few hundred bucks out of college kids is sickening. Back when I got popped with a PAULA, it was like the cops were just engaging in law enforcement, as my fine was a whopping $15. Now it's a fucking profit center for the cops. If you big government "liberals" really cared about the health and safety of kids you'd lower the damn drinking age so kids didn't look at alcohol like the coolest fucking thing in the world their first day on campus.
