Has anyone ever had a CD jam in their in dash cd changer? I loaded a cd and I keep getting CD ERROR messages and it says there is no cd in the changer. It won't eject or even let me load anymore discs in the other slots. Just about to take it to get worked on but wanted to see if the board had any ideas first.

DO NOT TRY TO FORCE IT OUT.
That being said, if you have a precision toolset (or an unfolded paperclip) - there should be a very small hole next to the CD slot.
Inserting the paperclip or tool into the hole should release the CD mechanism - and/or eject the CD without destroying the deck.
And with THAT being said... the deck itself might be broken and require repairs that would be 10x worse if you forced out the CD --- and only 2x worse if you try to eject.

Thanks. I will try it this afternoon. I hope to god that works, I don't really want to replace the unit or pay to get it fixed either. I can't force it out as there is a cover that pops open to expose the cd slot when loading and ejecting. I can't get the cover to open either.
Couldn't wait until after work....there was no hole for a paperclip to release the cd. Damn damn damn, any other suggestions?

I like the Ipod. I had an old ZEN and didn't think it was as user friendly (it was a first or 2nd gen model though, I'm sure they have gotten better).

It's about 3x the size of this period ---> . <--- Or you can spend $10 on an FM Modulator, and run your MP3 through your stereo..... forgetting about the CD.

Hey seth - is that Ipod pink to match your cell phone?
The iPod is the best because the Apple music store, despite its shitty DRM, pwns the competition.

Yeah iPod sucks. Functionality is too limited and it's just plain a pain in the ass. I have an iPod Nano with a bad battery that I suffered with for 2 years. I didn't like it that much.
I have a theme on my rockboxed Sansa that makes the screen look just like an iPod... but I never use it because other themes look way better. If you have an iPod... then you have no choice but to look at that boring screen. Unless of course you have an iPod that can be rockbox'd.

What are you, a 12 year old girl? The screen on the iPod looks fine, its function is to help you find the song or video you want. It does that just fine. If you didn't have the prole-pod, you could download videos and crap and watch them on flights and such.

Get off it, BTR. Just because you went with the sheep and bought an iPod, doesn't mean it's actually a worthwhile device. My sansa is black and gold with Iowa logos on it that I got from skinit.com. That makes me more of a 12-yo girl than what the screen looks like. I care about what my screen looks like, mine is cool. Ipods are boring and too 'Apple looking' I don't like Apple, so I don't want anything that looks like it came from Apple. But I can think of 2-dozen other reasons why rockbox trumps ipods shitty firmware. Two dozen! At least.
Like I said I bought one of those shit-boxes 2 years ago and it collects dust now. It needs a new battery holds a charge for about a day, but do you think those d-bags at Apple would allow a prole like me to change the battery myself... f*ck no. Irreplaceable battery = major flaw. batteries don't last forever.
Also, the Sansa e200 series can play videos just fine and it probably does it a lot better than your iPod does. It also has voice recording and an FM tuner... like I said there's dozens of reasons it's better.
