Some of the pundits stated immediately after the election that it wouldn't take long before the conservatives turned their significant negative energy towards Pelosi. You're right on cue. Isn't it nice to know that your behavior can be predicted so easily?

PS--Did you note that the WSJ article (I know, they use big words and all) discussed a tax cut? What's your point again?

Damn right people are talking about Pelosi. They are already saying that she is going to run all over President Obama and bully him along with the rest of the radical libs' to get what they want. Barney Frank said in an interview, I think with CNN, that now is not the time to worry about the deficit. We need a massive spending increase. Huh???
Yes they are talking tax cut. For the bottom 95% of the people. Even though the bottom 40% don't pay taxes. Figure that one out. President Obama wants to give them a tax credit, how much I don't know but you can bet it will be sizable. $4,000/5,000? At what point does he say enough is enough and tell them that he can only do so much for them and that at some point they need to stand on their own two feet? What about the 5% he plans to raise taxes on. Every economist I have heard talk over the last month has said if you raise taxes in a recession you are begging for trouble. The tax on capital gains alone will hurt jobs badly. Have you seen the market take the 2 day biggest drop in the history of the Dow Jones yesterday and today? People are selling their shit like mad before President Obama raises the CG tax.

People!?!?! Are talking?!? - "They are already saying" --- THEY??? OMFG!?!?! - "I think with CNN" --- Perhaps. Or perhaps not. - "Yes they are talking" --- Again... OMFG!?!?! NOT Talking..... - "Every economist I have heard talk over the last month has said if you raise taxes in a recession you are begging for trouble." --- That's remarkable clarity of unanimous vision. Was this 10 or 1000 economists you've "heard"? Did they say anything else? - "Have you seen the market take the 2 day biggest drop in the history of the Dow Jones yesterday and today?" --- It must be all that pre-inauguration legislation President Obama has enacted. - "People are selling their shit like mad" --- Really!?!?! OMFG!?!?! I never made the connection that a taxcut written to expire in 2010 was somehow able to travel back through time to the moment before someone takes office to prove wrong in the mind of a Fox/Drudge parroting idiot - decisions that haven't yet been made. Shall we await your post on how the WMD's will be found shortly, and will be part of that long awaited October Surprise... which was delayed by ACORN's (and Barbara Streisand's) malfeasance?

Matta,
You did read the article didn't you? It said that capital gains taxes would be cut. That's what conservatives always rally for. At one time you said you were an open-minded type of guy who agreed with points from both sides of the aisle. Ever since you took it in the ass from IAfan, seems you just repeat whatever Fox News and Ann Coulter say.
Let's make this simple. Obama is proposing a tax cut for 95% of taxpayers. He is going to let the tax cuts expire and go back to the rates they were 8 years ago for the upper crust. You can call it a tax increase, by definition you are correct. I believe his plan at least attempts to do something about the growing disparity between the costs of living in America versus what American workers take home to support their families. It has always amazed me how lower to middle class people somehow believe the GOP is looking out for their best interest.

Matta, You did read the article didn't you? It said that capital gains taxes would be cut. That's what conservatives always rally for. At one time you said you were an open-minded type of guy who agreed with points from both sides of the aisle. Ever bince you took it in the ass from IAfan, seems you just repeat whatever Fox News and Ann Coulter say. Let's make this simple. President Obama is proposing a tax cut for 95% of taxpayers. Yes I know they are talking about capital gains cuts but lets do the math here on how they came to the conclusion capital gains cuts need to be made. Because Obama was saying he was going to raise them not more than a month ago. Maybe he listened to the economists that have been screaming, don't raise the capital gains tax during a recession!!! Just a guess. Pelosi is talking about permanent tax cuts, yet nothing with the libs' as far as tax cuts are ever permanent. If things turn around in a year I can guarantee you they will be saying, hey, maybe we need to take a look at raising them up to the previous levels. Ah hell, let's go an extra 3%. What can it hurt, right? As far as the lower class being duped by the Reps' it comes down to issues with me. No 1, I am pro-life. No 2, I am 100% for a strong and active military. I'm not talking about Iraq either. No 3, I believe in low taxes for everybody because I believe that if you tax businesses they will find a way to either cut back on jobs or safety will suffer as businesses try to go cheap. LP, the funny thing of it is, I AM an open minded type of guy who agrees with points from both sides. The thing is I agree with Iafan probably about half, maybe 2/3rds of the time. I agreed with Iafan on one point and the big fat turd known as Socal attacked me. So I have made it a point to do anything I can to yank his chain. I must say I have thoroughly enjoyed it more than I would have if I was debating or agreeing with everybody. So he started this and I consider this an early Christmas present to give it back to him each and every chance I get. Seeing as how you and thunder have pretty much joined in despite the fact that the 3 of you seem to have a constant circle jerk going on yet you seem to think I agree with Iafan every single time? Either you're stupid or blind? Something tells me your not stupid. More later, i'm going to go see Max Payne tonight. Gotta go.

I believe his plan at least attempts to do something about the growing disparity between the costs of living in America versus what American workers take home to support their families. It has always amazed me how lower to middle class people somehow believe the GOP is looking out for their best interest. That's funny, the plan is to increase the biggest cost of many businesses and people is now spun as "an attempt to do something about the growing disparity between the costs of living in America versus what American workers take home to support their families?" Again, the top 1% of taxpayers pay about the same in federal income taxes as the bottom 95%. If there needs to be an increase in taxes because the big government types in DC can't reign in spending, everybody should kick in a little something. The plan of looting the rich to pay for services for the poor will merely increase the number of people who are freeloading and will continually vote for more looting and services. Proles, please explain to me how your marginal propensity to consume MY INCOME is more beneficial to the economy than my marginal propensity to consume or save MY INCOME as I see fit. It has always amazed me how proles somehow believe the Democrats are looking out for their best interest. Oh well, without proles, the limosine liberals would lack the voting block necessary to have a political party.
