Alright, first I want to say this car is basically a POS. But here is what it is doing. I went to go to lunch earlier and tried starting the car, and what it was doing, it was firing up but that was with my foot on the peddle(sp) in park, and when I took my foot of, the car just died, wouldn't stick basically. I kept trying and the thing just wouldn't go.
My dad thinks it got something to do with the idle sensor(sp) maybe?
It has had trouble starting ever since it got cooler out.
Any ideas on what it might be

My wife's old car had the same problem once. But only when it got below 20 degrees and only when it spent the night parked outside.
Definitely have the idle air control sensor checked, or perhaps even the oxygen sensors in the exhaust system. Everything is a damn diagnostic code and a sensor anymore...

Check the EFV valve....it's an exhaust sensor that is usually next to the engine. Sometimes when the piston sticks....the thing doesn't open/close properly and the car dies. This sound like some kind of emissions issue, but who knows.

It was the Idol Control Sensor. had it checked out and fixed. The car is basically a piece of shit.
