Excellent read. My favorite line: “It’s laissez-faire until you get in deep shit”.

My favorite quote: Tens of thousands gathered in Grant Park on the evening of Nov. 4 to hear President-elect Barack Obama. The faces turned toward him were animated—not by surprise, but by recognition. Their needs, yearnings, and injuries had been ignored for so long. Finally there was one man speaking their shared experience of betrayal and their shared hope for renewal. The path to reinventing American business was written on the faces of those gathered there that night. They know exactly what must be done. What fucking schlock! Combining BarryO, the folks in Grant Park and their collective knowledge of "what must be done" is beyond comical.

All I saw were a bunch of douchebag college kids wearing North Face fleeces that were probably manufactured by some poor schlub in China working for less than a dollar a day. They mostly looked like private school mumsy and daddy paying full freight type of kids, you know the type, couldn't hold down two Zimas if their life depended on it. To infer that those fucksticks know jackshit about what the fuck they want other than a god damn handout is ricockulous.

It reads better than: Dozens gathered in Arizona on the evening of Nov. 4 to hear Senator McCain. The faces turned toward him were animated—not by surprise, but because the results from PA, OH & FL weren't displayed on the monstrous screens. Their needs, yearnings, and injuries had been ignored for so long. Finally there was one man speaking their shared experience of betrayal and their shared hope for renewal. The path to reinventing American business was written on the faces of those gathered there that night. They know exactly what must be done. Bitch and moan... lament that all the patriotic calls to duty and country that they were fed for so long, were simply piles of crap.

My brother sent me this article as well. It is a long read but a very, very good article. I never read Liar's Poker. I might now.
