Does anyone out there have an ipod touch? My son wants one and I would like to hear some opinions. Wi-Fi capability is pretty neat. Thanks.

I never got the attraction of WiFi on a phone.
I had an HTC Touch with WiFi, but it bogged it down more than anything.
If you're going to get a rockstar phone, then you might as well get the data plan....in other words, I just shut off my WiFi and worked off the Sprint network.
Now I'm on Verizon and didn't even worry about WiFi when I purchased my new touch phone (LG Dare).

The ipod touch isn't a phone, not talking abut the iphone. But I do agree with you, that if you want to access the internet via a phone....get a data plan.

Ahhhh. Now I get it....and now I can see where WiFi would be cool to have on a mp3 player.
My phone is pretty much my music player now, especially with the 16 gb micro SD card that Best Buy sells. Its pricy, but much cheaper than a stand alone music player.

I don't have an ipod touch, but it looks pretty boss and I have yet to be disappointed with an Apple produt, so I'd give it a shot.

Co-worker bought one about a month ago, it's sweet, as good as advertised.

I went ahead and ordered one last night. With my luck, if I waited a week or so they would be sold out and difficult to find. Good to hear that I made a good purchase.

Was wondering how much Best Buy is getting for theirs. I bought an 8GB MicroSD in July for $50. Last month I got one for $19 and the other day there was a deal for one for $10. The 16GB just came out maybe Sep-Oct and it was over $100. Now it can be had for $56.50. I need a new one as my 12GB (4GB+8GB MicroSD) Sansa is full.

I paid $65 for it, and bought a couple of 4 GB for $7 last weekend.
I remember when a 16 MB card was $100 bucks not too long ago.

Cool. I always found Best Buy to be a ripoff.. but $65 is a very reasonable price for a 16GB MicroSD. Next spring, the 16GB will probably cost $7.
I might have to stop at BB on my way home tonight, although I just got back from Vegas and my pocketbook is a little lighter than normal.

I didn't even know they existed and found it while they were doing the paperwork on the two Macbooks I bought my daughters. You might want to call to make sure they are still on sale. I think reg price is $89 or $99.
