I can finish some songs on hard. I'm not good, but I can't even begin to follow the notes on the screen on any of those expert songs. How they can play it I just can't wrap my mind around. There must be multiple hours and hours every day spent on that game. It makes me angry.

I don't play much guitar hero anymore. I usually only play rockband 2. I play all the instruments on expert, including the singing. I normally play the drums in my "band". But sometimes I will play the guitar and sing at the same time. If I can give you guys alittle advice, when playing the guitar make sure you are using the tip of your thumb to support the back of the neck of the guitar, not the spongy part of your thumb. This makes it much easier to move your fingers on the frets. Also with any of the instruments, this only works on expert, your should play with your ears just as much as your fingers and eyes. Listen for when you should be strumming or hitting the drums. One last thing, try to let your mind wander while you are playing and just let your brain react. If anyone has a 360 and would want to jam sometime let me know and I'll get you my gamertag.

I've played music for close to 30 years and jammin' used to mean: bring your instrument, imagination, a 12 pack and some doobage. I guess I'm officially an old guy now. That being said, the family gift was an xbox and we might just get one of the Rock Band type games. Which one is the best?

I play a little geetar (real), and have a couple friends that still do it 'old school'. Twine can sing pretty well as long as he doesn't try rapping. It doesn't happen very often anymore, unfortunately. Once my mancave is complete, hopefully we'll do it more often.

The Wastelanders would be a fitting name although I've always wanted to name a band Solid Feces (which might be just as fitting).
