I'd go for it. A7X and BC would be worth $37 plus gas. A7X is pretty good (IMO) and BC isn't terrible. Even a shitty band can be worth a concert ticket if they put on a kick ass show.

Are they as good as Night Ranger?

I saw Avenged Sevenfold, Buckcherry, Shinedown, and Saving Abel in Waterloo a few months ago. It was a really good show. Avenged Sevenfold was good... they were all good, including Buckcherry. I personally like Shinedown the most out of them.
I like that song Dear God by Avenged Sevenfold... it almost sounds like a country song at times, which is strange for that band.
I like a lot of their tunes and really hadn't listened to them a lot until I saw their live show. I do think the singer has sort of a whiny voice at times, but for seem reason it seems to fit.
I saw Buckcherry about 7 years ago at 3rd St. Live in CR. There was about 1000 people there. At that time 'Lit Up' was about their only real hit. And while the singer's no Bob Dylan with his song writing (Crazy Bitch, Too Drunk to f*ck), he's come a long way in bince then.
Here's a couple Buckcherry songs that actually are somewhat well-written: Everything - Sorry -
Buckcherry is a good show and Crazy Bitch and Too Drunk are actually fun live when you've had about 15 beers.

OK, after listening to a few songs, I can get into A7X....except, what is the deal with the BTR mullet cut on the drummer? Dude can bang the skins, but come on now, he looks like a tool.

I just went to Slipknot last night, and had an amazing time (my wife and I ended up around the 4th row). Although my circle of friends vary in musical tastes, we all love live music. I don't think I'll ever out grow concerts. Sure, at 29, I don't mosh or do much of that crazy shit, but we still rocked out!

Live music is where it's at! When in doubt, go to a show.
I got Mason Jennings in IC on 2/20 and Slightly Stoopid in St. Louis on 3/19 (my B-day) coming up. I'm super pumped for both shows.

Are they as good as Night Ranger? Yes, but not as good as Dream Theater.
