Do any of you end up fighting with your girlfriend/wife (or boyfriend for the lone female member of the board) over text? I just got into it with mine as we were texting back and forth.
I said something that she completely took out of context and she is over-reacting to it. I tried to call her, but she won't answer, and she is out of town, so I cant try to explain face to face.
Sometimes I fucking hate texting because with the stupid little smiley faces or not, something always gets taken the wrong way.
I'm so pissed right now it isn't even funny.

I stopped texting for that reason, we've been on phones long enough to gauge vocal cues, but not texting...
it is a new etiquette.

Over email or Instant Messaging for sure, but not text. You aren't supposed to have conversations via text message.

Good point. I guess because, as fast as texting is, email and IM are faster. And have a wider variety of smilies to convey appropriate emotion.
