Defend this: news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/7930380.stmA senior Vatican cleric has defended the excommunication in Brazil of the mother and doctors of a young girl who had an abortion with their help.
The nine-year-old had conceived twins after alleged abuse by her stepfather. Good luck, fuckers. (And my mother wonders why I don't feel compelled to attend mass on a weekly basis.)

This would certainly be tough to defend with a rational argument. I'd like to hear some.

Rational's got nothing to do with it.
Repeat the cycle twice and the girl is a great grandmother at 27.

The fetuses have a right to live as they are viable beings at conception.
That's the argument of the "lifers". No science to back it up.

The fetuses have a right to live as they are viable beings at conception. That's the argument of the "lifers". No science to back it up. Having spent an extended period in a NICU as recently as this past summer, I can assure you that before 23 or 24 weeks, that fetus ain't viable.
