Last night I was walking with a few of my friends to a gas station....First problem was I already had alot of alcohol in me and second problem was, I cant see worth a shit in the dark. So we are walking back to my friends apartment and I couldn't see a step right freaken in front of me because it was pitch dark with no street light in the area. So, I hit the step, cement by the way, and chipped 2 of my teeth. Im really glad it didn't go through my lips are something, Id be even more fucked. Yeah, I don't have dental insurance either. Man, that must really suck. Which teeth did you chip? One time I broke my jaw by running from the cops with handcuffs on when I was your age so don't feel too bad. Unfortunately I didn't have insurance either. At least the state was nice enough to help out, they just made me decrease the amount of hours I worked from 60 hours a week to 20 hours per week for two months in order to qualify. In order to get help from the state their is a requirement that you are a useless piece of shit so I had to make some temporary adjustments to qualify.
You should put up some pictures of your chipped teeth, especially if they are in the front of your mouth.

once upon a time I broke my 2 front teeth in half. I got a root canal and caps, they only last for 5 years. If you are experiencing pain, I then you might be a dental emergency. If you are in Iowa city I would try to see if you can students work on you. If you have to pay, you can let the accounts go delinquent, or take a lone. Teeth are so important when it comes to job hunting.
I think the caps cost around $500, but won't last very long. Porcelains, which I now have cost apprx. 1-2K, I think the cost me 1200 a piece, but that was over 10 yrs ago. Porcelain is the better value in the long run.

If you're lucky like me they'll screw titanium into your skull.
I'm pretty glad I couldn't feel that procedure.

My fiance is a dental resident at the U. The students there could work on you for a lot cheaper than any dentist. They also write off a lot of non pay stuff. And relax, dental insurance doesn't cover that much anyhow.

I actually called the U yesterday to try and set up an appointment. I can't get in until May 5, and that is only to meet with a faculty member and take x-rays. I would then go in again end of August for a tooth by tooth examination and to determine what they need to do and how they will do it. Then on the third trip they actually start to work on you. Probably to long of a time frame for you. Also they said it is 1/3 to 1/2 of the cost at the U compared to regular dentists.

About 18-20 years ago I knew a guy in the NIACC swing choir who was riding his bike at dark in Mason City. I am assuming he was drunk off his ass because he said he couldn't see the car in his way. He went head first over the handle bars and lost his top 4 front teeth. Knocked him cold and someone found him laying in the street. Consider yourself lucky you were with friends.
