Best baseball video game ever. The 1987 St. Louis Cardinal line-up was guaranteed an inside the park HR at least once a game.

You can find ROMs with updated graphics/lineups/stats. I have one with the 2001 playoff teams in it. Kind of fun having Randy Johnson on the mound or hitting a homerun with Ken Griffey. Jimmy Rollins can probably steal bases like Tim Raines in the original too. It's accurate in an inaccurate kind of way... Pujols hits HRs nearly every at bat. Also have a Super Tecmo Bowl ROM with all the graphics/rosters/stats switch over to NCAA teams from 2002. Basically the top 25. Iowa is awesome in the game. You know the little animations they have when you score a touchdown or sack the QB... well it's cool as hell seeing that with Brad Banks or Freddy Russell. Or getting a sack with Fred Barr. Here I found a link: tsb.sportplanet.gamespy.com/tecdown.htm

I agree with best baseball video game. I'm a big fan of both RBI 1 and 3. I still own both and have the NES hooked up.

My cousin used to kick my ass at RBI baseball. I would always somehow pull the third baseman off of the plate then try and throw it there, then get scored on. If I remember right one button caused you to throw in a rundown and the other caused you to run toward the guy and if you were running toward the baserunner and threw to second then tried throwing back to third before the third baseman got back to the base (after trying to run down the baserunner), no one would be covering third and the ball would basically get thrown against the wall.
Correct me if I'm wrong here, that memory was conjured up from almost 20 years ago.

No twine, we ain't that old. It wasn't that long ago. I refuse to accept that statement.

No twine, we ain't that old. It wasn't that long ago. I refuse to accept that statement. We might be, twenty years ago was 1989 and the NES was in it's prime. Plus, there were 2 sequels to the game.

I'm a Bases Loaded fan. That team that had Paste and Bay on it was unstoppable. I think it was Jersey.

yeah and RBI was a very early title on the NES. It was 20 years ago.
That sounds about right Twine. I used to know a guy who would always coax me into a playing hot box with him and he would get the base every time. Used to drive me nuts. Sometimes he'd get a single and then hot box second and third and finally home. Used to piss me off big time.

This is a classic and I can only imagine how long it took the guy to get it to work perfect.

This is a classic and I can only imagine how long it took the guy to get it to work perfect. That is unreal. Nice find.
