Your pleas for sympathy fall on deaf ears man. Ballpunch chapter 206. 100 page markup just delivered. The capital markets are opening again. Distressed asset sales are in full force and several of our clients are flush with cash. The kids junior to me are all worthless because there hasn't been enough work for them so they will pull their $160k salaries AND have the weekend free (although they are all a month or two from getting fired). Hence, another weekend with no day off, but I should only have to work from 9 to 5 tomorrow. Lucky me. Please recession, come back stronger.

Since they're your juniors, it's safe to assume you make more than 160 bones. It's hard to have much sympathy for you working on a weekend if pulling in that amt of scratch.
Just be thankful you're employed.
My brother, with the same company for 19 years, was one of 200 let go a couple of weeks ago.

Guys, BTR just doesn't get it.
He probably makes more in one year than most of us do in four... AND it doesn't sound like he has to spend every day wondering if it is the day he gets the axe.
I've never once heard him talk about being worried with paying the mortgage/rent, utilities, gas bill, or how he will feed his kids.
I give him no sympathy in this department. And neither should any of you.

Regardless, it still sucks to work weekends. Even more so in the summer, when you have baseball, grill outs, beer and boating...etc. etc.
Ive spent enough summers and weekends, slaving away in some kitchen as a line cook, to realize this.
Thats all i am saying....sucks working weekends in the summer.

I agree, it's like listening to someone who doesn't have any money but a lot of time complaining about being broke except he has alot of money and no time and is complaining about being at work all of the time.

The gubmint makes more off my labor than I do and I could seriously give a fuck less if I have to work everyday between the end of November and the beginning of May, but once it gets nice out and once football season starts, I want some weekends off. Maybe it will be like last fall where I will only be a little bit busy and end up making it to all the Hawk games. If that happens, I will be pretty damn happy.
