was it over in 2004 when Iowa was down to a walk on white kid who averaged about -1 yards per carry. If the defense is rock solid and special teams are better then Iowa has a chance in every game, the offense just has to not lose games.

Seriously, BTR...
How could your outlook change so suddenly over news that we all knew (or at least suspected anyway)?
I am more concerned about the health of the O-line myself. If the line is intact, even you and your "drinking seat" buddy Barber could churn out yards behind that line.

BTR, same story as law school-no one appreciates your realist attitude until its too late. That 22 ranking ought to have a decimal pt in between as that will be the yards per carry.

Running back + knee injury = no sale. I never planned on much production from Hampton this year. Best to let him heal.
Let's wait and see what the freshmen can do before we throw in the towel. Our O-Line is stacked, and that is the biggest key to a good rush attack. We've got a good receiving corps, and Stanzi has skills, too.

Agreed but you also left out the key factor to why we won't be 6-6 this year like some idiot on this board has said: The D.

Agreed but you also left out the key factor to why we won't be 6-6 this year like some idiot on this board has said: The D. I understand that you guys don't really watch or understand football, so let me 'splain to you why the D was so good last year in two words: Shonn Greene. Oh, but BTR, Shonn Greene didn't play defense, you say. No shit sherlock. However, he singlehandedly kept the fucking D off the field with his grinding the rock into the heart of the other defenses. Here's the call right now by Dolph. "3rd and 3, Hawks come to the line, the snap, handoff to O'Meara, the corner hits him, and he falls down, oh he was so close. 4th and 1 and in comes Donahue for the 7th time after yet another 3 and out. Oh boy, that defense sure looks tired out there. " It's gonna be a long season and you're better off calling for 2-10 and being pleasantly surprised instead of 10-2 and disappointed. Trust me, fellas.

Iowa has one of the best lines in the Big Ten. I could rush for 1000 yard behind those guys. We have the best WR corp in Ferentz's tenure here. And a competent QB.
Yeah, reaaaal worried about Hampton... uh huh.

if Iowa loses to ISU this year, then I'll say the season is lost.

You see the level of assclownery on the field in my above linked youtube videos? That's what we'll see this year. Keef will not have the troops ready. We'll look like Florida against UNI, but then the wheels will come off the bus. Just get ready for it.

Don't sweat it Seth. It's been next man in all year long. Maybe Wegher can step it up and be the feature back down the stretch here.
