WTF? I am at a lose for words. NEW ORLEANS — A Louisiana justice of the peace said he refused to issue a marriage license to an interracial couple out of concern for any children the couple might have. Keith Bardwell, justice of the peace in Tangipahoa Parish, says it is his experience that most interracial marriages do not last long. "I'm not a racist. I just don't believe in mixing the races that way," Bardwell told the Associated Press on Thursday. "I have piles and piles of black friends. They come to my home, I marry them, they use my bathroom. I treat them just like everyone else." www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM5jy_z-Zo4fvJEf2TK1LCiiPIe9NDwD9BBRD8O0

He's not long for the bench.
...check that. He's from a state that has a family values senator that was uncovered as having frequented a brothel - and having a diaper fetish... and one that re-elected a congressman (2x?) after he was found to have $100,000 in cash in his freezer.

Talk about a judge legislating from the bench.......what law says a white and a black can't get married? This is why the South continues to get stereotyped as a bunch of racist rednecks.

These justices of the peace are generally not lawyers. If this guy was a lawyer, he would likely be disbarred or sanctioned severely for violating this case: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loving_v._VirginiaThe creators of the Dukes of Hazzard did a pretty good job capturing the essence of these guys with Boss Hogg.

The funniest (scariest) thing from the article is that he states he has "piles and piles of black friends"? I can say I have never used "piles" as a a term to describe a group of my friends.
Then he goes on to say that he allows them to come into his house and even use his bathroom- How in the hell does that come up when talking about having friends over? I am surprised he didn't say he let's them use his drinking fountain too.

I believe all racial conflict resolutions end with each side sharing a toilet.

Interracial children never amount to jack shit. I mean just look at the highest levels of government. See any mixed race children serving there?
What? Who?
Oh, fuck. Nevermind.

The guy is right. That is why the GF and I aren't married even though we've been together for so long. Things have been going well for so long, and bi-racial marriages don't last so we're just going to stay not-married so as not to ruin a good thing.

If you can sell that shit to her, you could probably sell ice to an Eskimo. Good luck with that. Let us know how it turns out.
