This gives me a good idea. I'm going to bring back my one man army set up, with claymores as my special equipment. Then, I'm gonna equip sentry gun, harrier strike and pavelow as my killstreak rewards. Yes......yes, this perfect. Brilliant plan.
You guys know about the revolving 2 claymore system when you use one man army? It's pretty sweet.

If we got all of us to use the one man army set up, on a map like Highrise, Terminal, or the one with the couch hallway, we could tear some shit up. Imagine like 10-20 claymores on a revolving system. As long as we all stayed in the same location, we could dominate.

So just reading what you guys have accomplished, I have a fucking long ways to go before I'm even close to your level of play. I'm happy if I get 13 kills in one session I'm just not quick enough on the draw, I get picked off way too easily. Do you guys shoot from the hip or do you actually put the sights on a target? I'm using sights on all my weapons and If I'm facing off with someone 9 out of 10 times I can shoot and not do much damage and they kill me with ease. Practice is everything with this game. You'll get better, trust that. I always aim down my sights, with the exception of a shotty maybe or akimbos (obviously). But, if you are having trouble on the draw, maybe you should up your sensitivity. I think it is normally on 3 or something. I play on 7. My brother is the best player on MUNG and he plays on 10.

I might have to up the sensitivity on mine too. Another feature I didn't know about. I'm doing better but am still slow on the draw, it seems.

When i rang off that 39/6 game i was playing a freeforall. so i was able to kill anything that moved i had alot more options to get kills
Optimum, i use the Red dot sight for close quarter and ACOG for longer distance maps, I also have Stopping Power for the first perk which seems to help allot. for the second perk i always have the "higher hipfire accuracy".
Stay low move slow and always keep your back against a wall (stay inside buildings) and you will start getting more kills.

What gun are you using? I've also found that your accuracy improves a little if you are walking around in a crouched position. Also, the ACOG scope is probably the best one to help your accuracy.
Here are some suggestions on some character classes to set up for yourself.
My favorite class right now is one that I call "Undetectable", the nice thing about it is that I cannot be detected by anything (thermal, UAV, airstrikes, heartbeat sensors, choppers, etc.) the only way for them to detect me is by hearing my gun, but I have the option of putting a silencer on in place of my ACOG scope or heartbeat sensor. The thing I really like about this gun is that unless a guy sees me he almost never knows where I am and if I'm hidden somewhat when I have a good sniping point or view of a heavily trafficked area I can often pull off multiple kills in a row.
Another suggestion would be to create a guy that specializes in levels with low visibility (like overpass, derail, substation, etc). My dude for this type of level is equipped with a thermal scope which takes a little getting used to but is really accurate with a gun like the FAMAS or M16 that shoots bullets in single or three round bursts. The recoil of a fully automatic rifle will hamper your accuracy too much to make the benefit of a thermal scope very useful. For perks with this guy you can either go the sneaky route and try to make him hard to detect (like my previously mentioned guy) or get some stopping power and increased hip fire since the thermal doesnt work well in close combat situations. When trying to snipe I'll also equip claymores to cover my back.
Another cool type of guy to make is one that has marathon and lightfootedness with the extended knifing. You can run super fast with a character like this and if you get shot at it isn't hard to flee the situation and sometimes even run around a building quickly and stab the other dude in the back. It's also best to use the submachine guns here because they are the lightest weapons (you can run faster) and they usually have large clips that shoot rapidly for a run and gun/spray and pray style of killing. This type is best suited for close quartered and cluttered maps like Favela and Highrise.
Just some suggestions, I'd be interested to hear what has been working for other people too.

I have not adjusted my senstivity from the default setting.
Alot of being "quick" is learning the maps. Once you start to remember where you normally see bad guys, it much easier to be ready for them, and shoot them before they can get you.

It gets you to your target alot quicker, but is much harder to control for accuracy. I think my brother is a freak or something. I can't use the 10 setting for shit. I used to rock a 9 on Halo 3, but I can't do it on COD.

My favorite set up is: Primary: Barrett .50 cal (Thermal and Silencer attachments) Secondary: M1 something Shotgun (Red Dot attachment) Special Equipment: Tactical Insertion Special Grenade: Stun Grenade X 2 Perk 1: Bling Pro Perk 2: Stopping Power Pro Perk 3: Commando Pro I love sniping though, it's so much fun. The thermal is a must for the sniper, in my opinion. I like the silencer as to not give away my position, but the FMJ helps too. I try to find a nice sniper spot with not too many paths to sneak up behind me on. I place my tactical insertion somewhere close by, up against a corner or something (facing away from the wall). If I do get killed, I'm right back to my sweet sniping spot. If I get killed by someone in close range, I hit the X to respawn and then switch to my shotty right off the bat since I know he will be right next to me. Blast that fool, then put another tactical insertion down.

Not quite accurate. The only things that don't count toward the killstreaks are things you get from crates. If you earn a Predator missile with 5 kills or an attack helicopter with seven kills or Pavelow with 9 kills, anything that they kill is part of your streak. If you get one of them from a crate or an emergency airdrop, they do not go to your streak. I did not know that. Now I can understand why people wouldn't use the air drop or emergency air drop. That's too bad. You should have to earn your kill streaks. That is some BS. I love this game, but my BIGGEST gripe with it is how it rewards the good players and makes them even better. I can see how it can be incredibly frustrating for the lower level players. I know this cause I am on that level. I have no problem with the earned rewards extending the kill streaks, but I have a major problem with somebody getting Chopper Gunner or an AC130 out of a crate. IMHO, the only things you should get out of crates are ammo, UAV's and counter-UAV's. Question for anybody using the Cold-blooded perk instead of stopping power. I find it really cuts down on my killing power, unless I am pretty close. Are you doing something to compensate for that?

Fun time last night with the MUNG clan! Sorry I had to cut out on you guys after the 2nd deathmatch, had to get up at 4 to plow snow today.
I sucked major ass in the first match but rebounded nicely in match 2, had 14 kills, which for me is in the top 5 all time, maybe someday I'll hit 20 kills, a guy can dream can't he? Like it's been said many times, practice makes perfect.

My god damn XBOX red ringed! Out of commission for 14-21 days .... E 74 error. I'm glad it was at least the E-74 error, as Microsoft fixes those for free. My warranty was expired. Still .... FFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUU! I'll still be on though, just have to rotate with my brother/roommate for a couple weeks. We are gonna play 1 night on his account, then 1 night on mine and vice versa. On a happier note, I ran off a 33/5 game the other night. My best game ever. It was the balls.

That SUCKS! How old is your XBOX? I bought mine last Feb. I thought they fixed the red ring of death problem.
Nice game stat! I can only dream of that! Was it on free for all or deathmatch?

My XBOX was a little over 2 years old. Oh well, at least they are fixing for free. At first they said it would be $99. It was on Team Deathmatch. Stukatt, and Twine were playing with me. Hell, you might have been in on that match too. Can't remember. I've been playing lately with the UAV, Care Package, and Sentry Gun as my death streaks. It's helped a bunch. I got tired of waiting for the choppers, pavelows and other high end streaks that I was only getting like every 5 or 6 matches. I forgot how useful the UAV is. Plus the care package drops you out a Pavelow or Chopper Gunner every now and then, which rocks.

I quit using UAV ( the UAV is awesome and almost a must ) and Care Package ( ran out of ammo and didn't have scavenger as a perk, had to die ) and that was a mistake, going back to that tonight. Love the Sentry Gun and tactical insertion has really helped me out. I'm starting to get better averaging double figures in each deathmatch, free for all I suck bigtime.

I am 13 FMJ kills away from mastering the AK-47. After that i am going to prestige and start over.
Its just not as fun playing when you are not unlocking new guns or watching your experience bar start over.
I will be on tonight if anyone wants to play.

I mastered the AK-47 last night and went prestige. It is really wierd starting over. I went from level 0 to level 1 in 3 kills and it only takes 1000 pointes to get to level two etc. I will be up around 12 or so at least by the end of the day tonight.
Not that this means anything but i mastered the AK-47 in 608 kills. I dont think that that is too bad to be honest. You cant start the FMJ until you reach 300 kills (AK 47 kills V) I am going to try to be below six hundred while mastering guns this time around. I would think that you could get those 40 FMJ kills in less than 200 kills and master a gun in under 500 kills if you tried. We will see.

Here is an intersting article about the COD:MW2 online community:
The University of Southern Detroit conducted a sociological experiment last week; composed of a study of gamers playing Modern Warfare 2. The researchers found that a stunning 87% of Modern Warfare 2 players were complete douches with sub-catagories of large toolbags and obnoxious assholes.
"While conducting our research, we found that most gamers who played Modern Warfare 2 over Microsoft's Xbox LIVE were complete, inconsiderate assholes. Most of our control group chose to shut off their headsets within minutes, citing "high concentrations of pure douchebaggery." Said USD's lead professor, Ted Wysowski: "It was a huge emotional undertaking for all those who chose to keep their microphones on. Most of these subjects had to be escorted home afterwards by our on-call psychiatrists, as they had lost all hope in humanity and begged us to let them jump out the facility's windows."
Modern Warfare 2 is not alone in its high percentage of douches. USD also found that the Gears of War 2 community consisted of 79% dickfaces, while Halo 3 still leads the pack in the total fucktard category with a whopping 92%. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Also, I'm going to be house ridden all weekend since I'm getting my wisdom teeth pulled. I'll probably be online quite a bit. I took a few days off from playing the game because I was getting pissed at it but if anyone see's me online I'll do some killing.

I agree, I have my box set up to only hear my friends. I need full concentration when I'm playing and I can't do that with constant commentary and tough guys picking fights over the net, it's amazing how pissed off people can get at each other playing that game.
I'm on call this weekend so I'm basically stuck at home as well and the wife is working days all weekend so I have control over the big tv, I'll be on from time to time.

Anybody still play this game? I have been playing on and off.
On an earlier post i mentioned mastering the AK-47 in 608 kills. Since then i have mastered the FAMAS in 572 kills and the M4 Assault Rifle in 515 kills.
Since you can not start the FMJ kills until you get to 300 kills, that means that I got the 40 FMJ kills in 215 kills. Which is 8 FMJ kills out of every 43. That is a pretty good clip.
Also, anyone got any information on when the new maps will be out? I have heard "spring of 2010" but that doesnt help much.

I played 4 hours yesterday, I'm on maybe 2-3 times a week. I still pretty much suck not as many NOOBS to kill as there was right after the holidays.
Looking forward to the new maps. And I've seen on other sites that a Call of Duty: Vietnam is in the works.
