Dude, USC's program is stinkier than the I-80 truckstop (world's largest truckstop) bathroom after a trucker who hasn't crapped bince Denver gets done pinchin' a loaf. Of course something is coming down, with all the studs he has there, plus job security plus salary, he'd be foolish to leave unless something really bad is going to happen.

He knows the NCAA is going to find something. However I caught just a touch of Outside the Lines over lunch and I don't know who the guy they had on but he said that it was that plus he thought that USC was going to be going into a little bit of a down period as well? How the hell would somebody know that with all of the frickin' 5 star HS All American's they bring in every year? and how the hell is that possible? I don't see how that program can't be competing for a Pac 10 title every year. Also DP said that he thought it was pretty telling that Mike Riley (sp) (Oregon State) coach wasn't interested in the job. He thinks the NCAA is going to find something as well.

Taking that job would be about as smart as Tim Floyd taking the Chicago Bulls job when Phil Jackson left and MJ retired. Two words. Tony fucking Kukoc.

Expect a NCAA decision by the start of spring practice (March). Football will be sanctioned and basketball will have additional sanctions (on top of their self-imposed) ones.

Now when you say football will be sanctioned, what do you mean? Loss of 1 scholly for a year or an actual sanction? I'm sorry, but with UCLA in town, Cal and Stanford up in northern California, and Washington and Oregon pulling recruits out of California, it is just mind boggling that USC could have put that run together without doing something shady.

Depends on the violations they find. If they find a bunch of extra benefit stuff with Reggie Bush and McKnight, they could simply get "probation" which really means nothing. If there are recruiting violations, their coaching staff could be sanctioned (not allowed to recruit for some time period). Schollys are always a possibility. I see Mike Garrett (AD) getting the ax as well.

Cheater-Cheater Pumpkin-Eater.
Give it some time and they are going to find some type of misconduct at USC. Thus, why slick-Pete is running for the hills now.

Here's something else to think about: If they find that USC Administration knew about all of this stuff, and can prove it...in addition to whatever they find out about McKnight and Bush...USC could be staring down the barrel of "lack of institutional control". That could send them back to the glory days of the 90's when they were just another run-of-the-mill program. /crosses fingers

He openly bragged about "getting any kid into school that we want". Garrett is definitely the type of AD who would allow his FB and BB coaches to break rules if it meant winning titles.
