OK....now that I'm back in the dating scene (only women for those of you wondering.... ).... Should I go dutch the first date...or...man-up and pay for the entire first date? What about subsequent dates?

I would probably pay the first time. That said, if she isn't willing to pay her own way the first date, I would consider that some serious foreshadowing.

I think, generally speaking, it is a societal expectation that the guy at least OFFERS to pay for everything the first time out. If the girl is class, she'll likely snag a round or two.
Example: The first date I had with my wife, I paid for dinner and the first couple of rounds. When we decided to have one more drink, she took the bill out of my hand and insisted on paying for it. Well, who am I to argue with that?!

If you do end up paying for everything make sure she at least gets the mushroom tip at the end of the night.

Pay up Seth. I know what you make for retirement and it ain't gonna hurt you to pick up the tab. Given where you live, ain't like the Happy meal is going to break you.
By the way, retirement is set for July 2nd. Last official day in is August 31st. Time to get some retirement myself.

Pay up unless she's adament about paying something. In that case make sure you set up a 2nd date.

Pay. And if she offers to split or pay (politely decline her offer) and you like her, then that's a good sign.
Shit, I'm married and my wife often offers to (and does) pick up the tab. It doesn't really matter since it's the same pool of money but the gesture is still nice.

Truth be known...I always pay for the entire first date.....my question was for somebody else on this board who pimped his first-date to death all night long then got shut-out of any end-of-date pussy.

BE SURE to get all your ailments lined up and documented in your medical record before you start your plethora of retirement physicals. Don't be shy. I had a great PCM who did that for me and by the time my VA evaluations were over I got rated at 60%....worth $1100 a month...CONCURRENT. Definitely worth your time.
