A few thoughts: 1. People were really upset about the Tim Tebow ad? If I wouldn't have known about people being pissed before the Super Bowl I don't think I would have even remembered it. 2. Other then the Betty White Snickers ad and a couple of the Doritios ads, the rest were pretty lame, and Bud Light should fire all there ad people. 3. Dallas Clark just got mugged again trying to run a route. 4. Happy for the Saints but not looking forward to all of the over the top post game coverage that I will have to watch over the next week. 5. When does Spring practice start??? ;D

I was successful in blocking out the fact there was even a game last night.

That converted two point conversion really effed me in my pool - I coulda been well positioned for a nice payday had it not been overturned, but it wasn't meant to be.
I don't know what the fuss was about the Tebow ad, did it even have a message in it?

I heard the Tebow ad was very much watered down compared to the original. I guess I didn't have a problem with, except that Tim Tebow's face IS STILL ON THE FUCKING TV.

Tim Tebow + Focus on the Family (i.e. James Dobson) = CRAP
They told the gay marriage/couple group that they couldn't run their ad, but allow Hyper-Christian Tebow and is political action group to run theirs.
Hypocrisy.
The game was pretty entertaining though.

I would have had no problem with the gay dating site ad and the Tebow ad unless you went to the website you would never have known what the message the ad was trying to get across.

Last year I watched one NFL game - the Super Bowl. This year? I beat that record. I used to be a huge NFL fan, but I just don't care any more. Give me college FB - my Sundays are for NASCAR and other motorsports.
Daytona 500 this weekend, baby!

Hoffa........do you seriously think that when "Focus on the Family" came on the screen and you have Tebow's Mom talking about "making a choice" people had no clue what they were referring to without going to a website?

Hoffa........do you seriously think that when "Focus on the Family" came on the screen and you have Tebow's Mom talking about "making a choice" people had no clue what they were referring to without going to a website? Yes, people that had heard about the controversy before hand knew as soon as they saw Tim Tebow that was the Pro Life ad. There were a handful of people that I watched the game with that #1 aren't football fans #2 Don't know who the hell Tim Tebow is and #3 hadn't heard about the controversy before they saw the ad. Because of that they didn't know what the ad was about until I explained to them the whole story. All of them said people were upset about that commercial? You and I know what type of group focus on the family is but some people aren't as good at reading between the lines and that commercial was pretty vague and unless people were really paying attention to every word and reading between the lines I think there would be plenty of people that either don't remember the commercial if you asked them about it now or they wouldn't have a clue about what the message was.
