I'm not sure if there has already been a thread about this or not. I used the search function, but didn't find anything.
Just saw this a few days ago. Great documentary, IMHO. One of Moore's best.
Anyone else seen this? What did you think?

haven't seen it but I am sure as with all of Moore's movies he makes some good points but they seem to get lost with the rest of the shit and half truths that he puts in his movies. His early stuff was much better, once he became a star he kind of bought into his own hype and his movies have suffered.
Would love for him to do a Roger and Me part II and see who gets the blame this time around.

The first half of that film is some of the best, most compelling documentary work ever. The sad thing is that the subjects he takes on really don't require the exaggerations or half truths. He could do it straight up and it would be a lot more compelling, because it is stuff that is out there and needs to be exposed, but would be deleterious to the corporations who own the mainstream media and is therefore ignored. Kind of a waste. He's got the talent, he could be doing a lot better, more credible, and just as incendiary work.

Exactly, he has turned his projects into more about him making the news then actually what is in them. And as far as Sicko goes, I would have given him a lot more credit if he would have used himself as an example of what part of the problem with Health Care, ie the cost of obesity and all the health problems related to it's strain on the system. It's always someone Else's fault and nobody ever has to look into the mirror to see if they are part of the problem.

Whether you like/hate, or impartial with respect to Moore, this documentary is very good, and worth seeing. IMHO

Jesus, you of all people I would think would be able to see through his some of his BS or at least take a look at the other side of things. Watch Sicko again and then get back to me as Thunder pointed out the Gitmo scene was in there for political reasons and had nothing to do with the actual problem with HC. And as big as a F' up that Bush was this is a pretty good article about Moore and Fahrenheit 9-11 by a guy that is far from a Bush supporter. www.slate.com/id/2102723
