I can't imagine the chaos that goes on in a 911 comm center in Chicago. The amount of training involved for new hires and the fact that most of them don't make the cut or just plain can't handle it once on their own and end up quitting. it can be a very stressful job, my wife is a 911 dispatcher and where she has worked for 12 years they have been understaffed the entire time, it's hard to find good help.
