That's some bullshit. I could understand if it was some huge meth operation but c'mon, it's just a small amount of weed.

Somebody needs to explain to me the logic of banning weed and hemp products in general. Cuz I can go buy a fifth of Everfuckingclear. And that shit is way more toxic than weed. Now I've never smoked weed and will never smoke it because I don't intentionally inhale burning shit into my precious lungs, but really, what the fuck.

Somebody needs to explain to me the idea of "child endangerment". Like the article points out......are you endangering a child by having some weed hidden in your dresser drawer or are you endangering a child by smashing down a door and unloading live ammo into family pets in front of a child? Like BTR said, this fucking society is messed up in the head.

I honestly would like to see statistics on the number of potheads who beat their wife and kids compared to the number of alcoholics who beat their wife and kids. My guess is no one wants to fund or commission that study because the status quo wouldn't like the results.

In a world of frivolous law suits one would think that this family has a legit suit. Afterall the child is going to be fucked up (he was probably going to be anyhow, because practically all children are) after seeing what he did. So, how much weed did they find? Didn't it say it was only a misdemeanor? So isn't that under and ounce? I would think the punishment doesn't fit the crime.

That video is the most popular story on digg.com today. When I dugg it yesterday only about 120 people had done the same, now over 2100 people have. Good find!
While the whole thing does appear to be total bullshit by watching the video, does anyone know any more about the backstory? I can't help but think they would have some reason to be that aggressive during the raid, at least I'd surely hope so.

The raids are aggressive because the cops who participate in them really think they are fighting a war. That's why they are wearing that gear and carrying assault rifles. The cops in bumblefuck Missourah get a total rush out of kicking that door and playing the good guys in the war. It's fucking ridiculous. The only thing more ridiculous is the low standard that judges will apply in issuing many of these search warrants.
I think I told you about the story I heard about a dude in Clive who had his place searched by cops on a tip from a guy who got caught with a bunch of meth, but the guy whose house was searched hadn't even talked to the snitch in 5 years. The veracity of a guy who is arrested with a copious amount of drugs is very questionable, as they will turn anyone in to save their own ass, yet the judges who are supposed to be the guardians of our rights are granting search warrants based on the word of someone looking to save their bacon with no corroborating evidence.
In drug cases like this, the cops should need some other evidence before busting into someone's house. Check the bank accounts, watch the house to see if people are coming and going, maybe check the garbage, run a dog sniff, something other than busting down a family's door with a bunch of AR-15s in hand.

Given the state of Iowa's meth problem I was suprised there weren't any listings on the Google map for Iowa.
