I was just informed by the wife she'll be going to Oktoberfest the first weekend in October. Which means that's the perfect date for me to drink myself silly and watch Iowa kick the shit out of Penn State. Consider yourself warned, Ron. Dibs on the upstairs bed.

I go into each season with the mentality that I'll end up with tickets one way or another (without paying too much over face value). I don't get that feeling this year though...unless we end up doing shitty. I've seen some crazy asking prices for tickets already.

Confirmed. I've got you on the calendar for that room. Credit card number please? I was just informed by the wife she'll be going to Oktoberfest the first weekend in October. You really just need to know where to look, stay away from the scalpers until after kickoff, anytime before then you will be getting bent over. No matter how good they are this year there will always be a older couple looking to get rid of extras that doesn't know what stub hub is and only wants to give their tickets to Iowa fans. A buddy of mine (who now lives on the east coast) always scalps and never pays more then $5-$10 over face. Walking through the parking lots and the tailgaters is the best way to find cheaper tickets and not standing in front of the stadium.

You have to be quick on the draw, but you can usually find someone desperate to recoup their expenses because they had to cancel at the last minute.
