I spoke with a good buddy of mine whose sister was a D-1 athlete and had a not very good experience at her university, and by not very good, I mean horrible.
He said, she cried during her senior day.
It wasn't happiness, it was relief that a huge weight had been lifted off her shoulders.
He may not have been crying because of how much he loved the Hawks, but because he was relieved it was coming to an end, and it became emotional for him to have that weight lifted off his shoulders.
Just some food for thought as I had never even considered that perspective before.

True or not, it's an interesting thought.

Dude, you just brought back a vivid memory - Thanks for making me remember that spring in my step!
