Seems the tree roots blocked the distribution block and caused the pump to burn up. Once this happened, the level went up and the toilets stopped flushing. Some nasty pooper water coming out of the shower drains. One very unhappy wife. I am now the proud owner of a new dirty waste water pump. 3300 gpm, 3/4 HP, stainless steel case with a water tight motor casing. Oh, and Bob's septic Co. cut the pipe in the leach field to verify that chunk of pipe had flow. It does, but the knuckleheads never sealed the pipe so very limited use of the septic tank right now. Bob's will be back tomorrow to figure out how much leach field piping needs new corrogated pipe that isn't clogged with tree roots. Estimated cost "800-1000 depending on the total job needed." Sad thing is, I am actually stoked that it is coming in under 1k for all that. Venting is now over. Carry on.

Funny septic tank story: A buddy of mine flushed 2 years worth of rubbers down a toilet at his girlfriend's house during high school. Towards the end of his senior year, their septic tank stopped working. The company that came to fix it told the the girlfriend's dad to tell his son/s to quit flushing the rubbers because there were litterally hundreds of them found in the tank. Girlfriend's dad told dude he had no sons......my buddy didn't spend much more time at that house.

Oh, and Bob's septic Co. cut the pipe in the leach field to verify that chunk of pipe had flow. Bob's must be banking. They have a monopoly on the Iowa State fair camper crapping industry and are even branching out to Florida (that's were you are located right?). I need to get in the shitter business. ;D

They rebuilt a portion of the leach field after find tree roots clogging thee one of three pipes being used. Seems some previous homeowner or the intial installer shortcutted the job. So I know have three times the capacity. Still haven't got the bill. Bob, the owner, is not very organized and seems to be very busy. I do have his trench digger still parked in my front yard though and did manage to talk them into pulling/ digging out a nearby stump for free. The "man, i wish that thing could do stumps." routine worked like a charm. I should be set for quite a few years now. Pump it down once every couple of years and ensure my boys don't flush rubbers down the shitters.
