This has little to do wit the actual bill itself and more with politics in general.
So as I was feeding the boys this morning before work I caught a little bit of Obama speaking after signing the bill. Why in the fuck do our so called leaders in DC think it necessary after every bill signing to create a giant circle jerk for all those that were involved? Do they really need to pat themselves on the back and name every fucking person by name from the top down to the guy that fetches fucking coffee? Isn't passing shit what they are suppose to do on a daily basis to begin with?
And this isn't a right or left thing all of them do it and it's really fucking annoying to me for some reason.
I could only imagine if this happened in the real world: I would like to thank Sally, Jane, Mike, Barb, Bill, Fred, Wendy, Ryan, Sara, Peter, Paul and Mary for all their hard work in helping Frank get his teeth cleaned. It's a great day for all of us and most of all Frank who will be able to stand proud knowing that his teeth are clean. It has been a long struggle but feel that what we have done today will improve Frank and the rest of the world that had to look at his coffee and Marlboro stained teeth for so long. Thank you and God Bless America.

If the bills were about such banal things as teeth cleaning, you might be correct. But this directly and indirectly effects the lives of every American... so a 10 minute circle jerk might be in order.
ps - as my wife is a dental hygienist, I've been told there are some people that deserve applause after cleaning calculus from their teeth... however there are some people where the calculus is the only thing holding their teeth in their mouths.
