One of my employees birthday parties. Her husband is a good dude. Should be a lot of fun.
What's everyone's drink? Me - irish whiskey on the rocks.

Yellowtail...
I'll tell you guys a funny story - I work in the concert industry and I was working with a country music star. The tour manager was telling the hospitality runner to get a few decent bottles of wine because the singer had recently started making real money and had built a state of the art wine cellar.
So the problem is that after dropping thousands on a cellar, he starts showing it off to people, and it's stocked with Yellowtail! So the tour manager was taking it upon himself to teach the guy about wine.

Good beer, usually. Craft brews and shit from micro-breweries. Bad beer sometimes. I'm not a beer snob (I don't talk shit about the normal brews), but I like beer with a bit more of a kick. Liquor - either vodka tonics or 7&7's.

Tonight: Evan Williams 1783 with a splish of gingerale. But before--and while preparing--dinner, I thoroughly enjoyed three bottles of Lagunitas "A little sumpin' sumpin'" ale. Fuckin' righteous brew. (Thanks for the tip, 'spank. ;D) I also like vodka. And (dark) rum. I don't like gin. I don't like tequila. I have a...history...with both.

Captain and Coke, plain, simple, but oh so good.

Ever had cooking wine? Has such a tart, but overwhelmingly sweet taste. I believe that if casked properly, one can detect a hint of hickory with the red. With the burgundy, you'd have to be a fool to not detect a hint of oak.
Classiness. It's my new thing.

I would have shit a brick if I saw a fancy wine cellar full of that swill with some prole who made it big bragging about it. As I can attest with my trailer park roots, you can't buy class.

That, Sir, is something a beer snob does....

Speaking of vodka, the wife brought home some Godiva's Chocolate Vodka last night. I was a bit suspicious, but it's actually pretty damned good.
She mixed it in with hot chocolate but I said "fuck it" and drank it straight up.

My swill beer is Coors Light. If I'm at a bar I'm drinking Gin and Tonic. I'm getting into "real" beer again.

You even agreed that it was the other fuckwads. I'm not far removed from drinking the watered down stuff, and still occasionally do.

I gave my bro tremendous shit for years for drinking-horse piss/pond-water beer and then one day he gave me some Champagne of Pond Water and I loved it. I just got back from buying a 30 of the stuff.
