Do you guys have a go to brand you fall back on for your electronic needs?? Sony? Samsung? JVC? I personally use the shit out of Sony. Pricey sure, but they have an excellent product. I have never had any issues with Sony, and the sound and picture quality is perfect for me. That said, I just bought a Kicker "iKicker" iTouch docking station. HOLY FUCK Kicker makes fucking awesome speakers. I have heard Klipsch makes a fine product too. Here is the docking station I bought. If you happen to be looking for one, I highly recommend it: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002I529AY/ref=oss_productI have a buddy that swears by JVC too. Just curious what you bitches use?

Sony has been the good ol' stand-by for me. Never had a problem with their products, service, etc. I have a couple of Vizio TVs and they work great as well.

About 13 years ago (holy fuck... has it been that long???) I ran a Best Buy service center, and Sony was fairly good at the time. JVC had occasional engineering issues (one models work perfectly, but with X, they failed a high % of the time) That said, for things like TV's, ALL screens are made at a few factories in China... and the same thing applies with many circuit boards. My only suggestion is to read reviews on products. As long as you don't get one of the engineering flawed products, you will be OK. For example, here is a badly reviewed product: www.samsclub.com/sams/shop/product.jsp?productId=prod1260495&navAction=pushHere is a product with good reviews: www.samsclub.com/sams/shop/product.jsp?productId=prod1260337&navAction=push

I used to say Toshiba, but Sony has replaced them for me.

I like LG for my tv's. Stereo, I like Yamaha. Never had a problem with any brand though except RCA. Will never buy them again.

My most recent company did a lot of work with Yamaha, and beyond having good products - they watched their products like a hawk for any potential flaws ---- should one of the previously mentioned engineering flaws pop-up, they would pull all the products and replace them with nicer ones.

I don't have a brand. I read reviews and see what is good. I typically end up with some off brand and save the money. I've yet to get something that wasn't well worth what I paid.

It's a pretty good time to be a consumer with an abundance of online reivews and pretty heavy price comptetition in electronics. I will say that I've been more than happy with coughing up the extra dough 13 years ago to buy some sweet speakers from Definitive Technologies. I bought a pair of front speakers for $1400 in 1998 and they still sell for $1000 13 years later. They sound great, look great and have gotten a shit ton of use through the end of high school, college, my bachelor years and in the future. I think one of the mid range drivers is fucked up though but you can't really tell.

Never had a problem with it ever. I guess I don't see the point in paying more than you need to....
