Damn, time flies. It seems like just yesterday that the inaugural board of elders meeting of the charter members of the Wasteland was held up in Evanston when yours truly was mocked relentlessly for wearing a prestigious, and expensive, vermillion sweater.

I'm still seeing her and things are going pretty good for the most part. She works 9:00 pm to 7:30 am Sunday through Sunday then has six days off Monday through Saturday. The messed up sleep schedule causes a pretty good deal of emotional instability in the girl and it's growing pretty tiresome. Other than that things are pretty good. |

Yeah, I think I am trying to place blame on something, she could just be a miserable twat. She called on her way home from work complaining about a coworkers, how she has to work on the holidays and her birthday, etc. I told her to be happy she has the next six days off and she kept complaining. Then, I said, "Try not to be so negative all the time, it's depressing." Then, shit hit the fan and and she borderline hung up the phone then started crying about how I wasn't supportive. Is this normal for any of you dudes to have to be an emotional crutch for your woman frequently or am I dealing with a Grade A succubus? She can be cool and is a lot of the time but lately it seems like I'm going out of my way to make her calm down and be happy and not really getting much back other than some trim from an attractive MILF. |

It's pretty normal to have to frequently be supportive, but it shouldn't be constant,. For example if I am in the position of offering support, it lasts maybe 10 minutes and it's over. It doesn't go on for hours unless it's something justifiably serious. And the whole freaking out thing about calling her out about being negative is...odd. Unless you did it in kind of a rude, "shut up your negative" type way. I often try to turn things around when people are being overly negative, whether it's at my job or my home. I'm far from being a saint, but think I do well at keeping level-headed. |

I find smacking them around shuts them up too. It works but you have to be careful about bruises. One bruise in the wrong place where someone might see it and people at work will start to get snoopy. She can only fall down the stains so many times before people get accusatory. |

I've had some psycho ex-gfriends in the past and once I finally said "fuck that" I was at my happiest because I didn't feel like I was living some ideal of what they wanted me to be. Do some thinking and decide if you are being "you" in this relationship or if you are being someone or something that she WANTS you to be. If so.... get out.
