I almost thought there was a basketball game tonight. Thankfully, Hightower dispelled that myth and put on an officiating clinic. Hightower is to officiating what Ken O'Kweefe is to play-calling.

I don't know whose blatant Memphis trolling was worse, Hightower's or Billy Packer's.

I liked when Packer made a comment towards the end about how Kansas had been down this road before/had prior OT experience in a title game... in the 1950s!!!
Jesus, even the coaches in this game were still in shortpants then.

Hightower had his moments though. He was still a complete and utter douchenozzle

I'll take Hightower over Billy Packer any day of the week, that guy is a complete tool. Why does CBS continue to think that this guy is worthy of a pay check?

Just once I wish Hightower made a foul call without getting into his theatrics.

Just once I wish Hightower made a foul call without getting into his theatrics. But then he wouldn't be the man, myth, and legend that is Hightower. I do know what you mean though.

He made an out of bounds call in the 1st half that was classic Eddie. He threw his whole body into pointing out possession, repeated it at least 4 times. Even after another official came over to confer with him on the call, he made yet another possession signal.
When was Billy Packer's last coaching job?

Shortly after the end of the Spanish-American War in 1898 if I'm not mistaken.

Jesus, even the coaches in this game were still in shortpants then. I caught that also. Or how about when Memphis in bounds the ball and lets it roll up the court and Packer screaming to pick it up before the 5 second violation. Hey dumbass it just has to leave the inbounders hands before 5 seconds. Or him agreeing about the no call on the play that should have been a T by slamming the ball. I don't care if the dude was mad at himself or not Billy that is a fucking T because it is unsportsmanlike conduct. I guarantee if that would have taken place in the first half it would have been a T so you would need to call it with the game on the line also. CBS really needs to find someone else to do these games next year.

If the Hawks are at Penn State and up by a few with 20 seconds to play and anyone on the Hawks does that, he's T'ed up for sure, Lick explodes, gets another T and the Hawks lose by at least 8.
