Haven't been around much, and didn't want to search for the original thread...
Who is planning on going to the Spring Game this weekend?
I'll be going with any mixture of: Dad, Brother, Son, Daughter...

I am still up in the air right now. But I would guess I will be there.

I was planning on going and I landed two seats in the suites, but now barber is coming to Chicago on Saturday and I have to help him dispose of some alcohol left at his old apartment before he turns over the keys on Sunday, so I can't go (and I don't want to rent a car and pay for gas). It's kind of a long trip for practice. Plus, I don't think I'm ready to be in the presence of Jake, Norm and Kenny just yet. It's too soon after what Western Michigan did to us.

I'm there.
Probably the only time in Kinnick this year where I will not bitch, moan, heckle, and yell.

I went last year and got tickets into the suites...that was neat to see. Got to meet Gary Barta and the infamous ScotHawk.

You got to meet Gary Barta........did you say anything to him about Ken Keefe? If you had the opportunity, you should have pulled the trigger.

Is this going to be a spring game or is it another open practice?
I might check it out if it was going to be an actual scrimmage. I went to the open practice a few years ago and it was extremely boring. I would have had more fun playing ET on an Atari 2600.

It will be an open practice just like last year.
OK, when I say 'met' Gary Barta, I use that term pretty loosely. It was more of a 'hello, nice to meet you / welcome to Iowa' type of thing...nothing beyond. Had Gary consulted with me, like he should've, I would have suggested giving KOK a swift kick in the arse to the curb.

We were in the suite right next to the Alfords. I wasn't a big fan of the suites it's basically like watching the game on TV. We moved down to the outdoor club seats for the second half and those are a hell of alot better and a lot closer to the beer. ;D

Agreed...it seemed kind of secluded from the game. We spent most of the time in the outdoor seats, although it was just the Spring Scrimmage, so we weren't missing too much of the 'atmosphere'.
