huh? WTF is that even showing? How many times do I have to repeat myself...if you're not in a better all-around financial position today than you were in 2007-08, that's a you problem. Don't blame our POTUS for your own personal failures. Or if you do, then you also have to credit him for your successes. Because you didn't build that. None of you did. Since I'm the only honky here who works for a company in the US manufacturing sector, I'm the only one who can say yes, I actually did build that, but it wouldn't have been possible without teh US Gov't. Good thing you supply colour to the plasix sector, because that's where everything is headed, thanks to Obama and his minions. Now if you were a supplier to the steel industry, you'd probably be relocated to China, where they don't allow outdoor showers. So it's Obama's fault that Chinamen will work for 1.50 an hour and no bathroom breaks? That steel industry was fucking going gangbusters up until the Kenyan took office, right?

back to the original subject of this thread.... Joni Ernst, the Iowa candidate who has vaulted to within an inch of United States Senate due to her boasting of hog castration in this year's most inventive political ad, was speaking to the National Rifle Association in 2012. "I do believe in the right to carry, and I believe in the right to defend myself and my family -- whether it's from an intruder, or whether it's from the government, should they decide that my rights are no longer important." Huh? This notion -- that the Second Amendment gives citizens the right to fire upon federal officials, or their local police, or sheriffs or even U.S. military personnel -- is common among right wingers. But it's one thing to hear, say, goofball Ted Nugent honk off that way. (The Nuge, by the way, has boasted about how he avoided taking up arms in defense of his country during Vietnam.) It is another to know that someone with those loopy views is one step away from the United States Senate. The Washington Monthly blogger Ed Kilgore has asked the right question -- the one any Iowa voter should be putting to Ms. Ernst: "Since you brought it up, exactly what circumstances would justify you shooting a police officer or a soldier in the head?" Good question, Ed. Is it OK to do so if, say, the Supreme Court stops the counting of votes so as to give the presidency to the candidate who got fewer votes? I don't think so. How about segregation? If ever American citizens were oppressed by their government it was African-Americans under Jim Crow. Thank God we had Dr. King and not Ms. Ernst leading the civil rights movement.www.cnn.com/2014/10/24/opinion/begala-joni-ernst-gun-remark/index.html?hpt=op_t1Any of you Iowans who vote for this evil twat ought to have your fucking heads examined. She's as ignorant and dangerous as palin and bachmann combined. You are so fucking stupid it's painful to watch. You don't know shit about either candidate. Braley is from my neck of the woods and everyone around the area know's he's a inept Asshole. See if it's possible to squeeze your talking point's up your back side where your head also resides.

Consider how breathtakingly stupid this is...
“You know we have talked about this at the state legislature before, nullification. But, bottom line is, as U.S. Senator why should we be passing laws that the states are considering nullifying? Bottom line: our legislators at the federal level should not be passing those laws. We’re right…we’ve gone 200-plus years of federal legislators going against the Tenth Amendment’s states’ rights. We are way overstepping bounds as federal legislators. So, bottom line, no we should not be passing laws as federal legislators—as senators or congressman—that the states would even consider nullifying. Bottom line.”

Consider how breathtakingly stupid this is:
“As a U.S. senator, though, we have to push [impeachment of President Obama], we can't be silent on things like that. And unfortunately we have a number of legislators right now that simply let these things happen. They're not speaking up against these actions. They're not speaking out against the president when he oversteps his bounds, when he makes those appointments, when he's appointing czars, when he is producing executive orders in a threat to a Congress that won't do as he wishes. So he has become a dictator.”

Consider how fucking insane this is:
“We don’t want to see a further push with Agenda 21, where the Agenda 21 and the government telling us that these are the urban centers that you will live in; these are the ways that you will travel to other urban centers. Agenda 21 encompasses so many different aspects of our lives that it’s taking away our individual liberties, our freedoms as United States citizens. So I would adamantly oppose Agenda 21. I don’t believe it is responsible, not for United States citizens.”

Hey Chuck I checked my mail last night and had 3 fliers for Joni and 4 for Brooster the Rooster. How dangerous do you figure it's going to get if Ernie wins. Not even Dick Cheney is fucking this chicken anymore...
"We don't know that there were weapons on the ground when we went in, however, I do have reason to believe there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. That was the intelligence that was operated on. I have reason to believe there was weapons of mass destruction. My husband served in Saudi Arabia as an Army Central Command sergeant major for a year and that's a hot-button topic in that area."

This should be reason enough to NOT vote for Joni and her bony pony. When the GOP considers that man to be the most dangerous and stupid person in all of congress, it should tell you alot about his stupidity and that of voting in Joni. That said, I wish I could vote for Braley, but I'll be trying my best to vote out the goddamn brownback and Roberts here in Kansas.

Here's what I know: Braley was a colleague of mine, he was very successful and highly respected in the profession and he's been similarly highly respected in the Congress. He may be an asshole (I never thought so, but I didn't hang out with him except occasionally) but he sure as shit isn't inept. As far as Ernst, I've got an acquaintance who's a Republican banker from Red Oak and he told me that Ernst is a vindictive white trash bitch that'd he'd never vote for. I think he referenced something about Palin with corn, not snow. Now I don't know her personally like I do Braley, but that sounds like an honest read.
