As there are several unwashed poors, Ralph of course excluded, on this board, let's make sure price is not an issue. Your favorite drink to relax with, or your go to drink when out on the town. Your comfort drink. For me:

Liberals don't like Scotch because it comes from Scotland. They hate all things from Scotland. See, e.g. Adam Smith and Capitalism.
If price ain't an issue, I'd go higher brow than Oban, but the Democratic Congress's uncontrolled spending has caused the dollar to tailspin, which means that poors in Europe are drinking better Scotch than me and getting it for virtually free. Thanks Dems. Here's to hoping that in '08 the dollar will stop it's decline so I can change the brand of Scotch I drink to something a little classier.

I do enjoy Scotch, though I'm not as well versed in it. My boss is a big Scotch drinker and he says he's going to teach me the finer points of scotch drinking this fall.

In my younger pre-marriage days I liked a good strawberry stripper, a nice cold Budlight, or a vodka and OJ. Now it's a nice cold pepsi/ice cold milk or water does just fine.

I consider myself a proud member of the 'warshed poors'. Oops wrong thread but anyway...still proud!!
Best comfort drink when you are in the parental mode is a Cherry Mister Misty from Dairy Queen. Out with friends it's a genuine margarita. Nursing a Hawk loss, Black Velvet and any schnapps will be of some comfort.
Best overall comfort drink: Crown Royal, hands down. Everyone should have this on hand. (plus there is that cool velvet bag which your daughter's will love as it's great for make-up) It's stupid and I don't have a legit reason but ever since 9/11 I have this on hand.
If we're counting ice cream products than the winner everytime is a good old fashioned cholcolate shake.
