I don't need to "rationalize" economic inequalities. We live in a capitalist system. There are, by definition, going to be economic inequalities. Now, if I was a closet communist and my idea of a utopia was 1976 Bucharest, I'd probably be miserable too.

fyi, the article claims conservatives are happier and liberals, not republicans are happier than democrats.

There were only two people who thought that 1976 Bucharest were utopias, and that was wacko dictator Nicolae Ceauºescu and his wife. They were so hated by even the Russians and Chinese for being psychos, that they had relatively good relations with the GHW Bush administration.
