Mine ain't here yet. W better not forget about me. If liberals like W and Pelosi gave two shits about equality as set forth in the Constitution, they'd have gotten me my rebate by now. Spank got his, where the hell is mine?

Yours appears to have been deposited into Spank's account earlier today.
Thank you for your patronage.

I'm with you, Ralph. No check for me despite the fact my wife worked exactly zero hours in 2007. This ain't fair.
I wonder what test a court would apply if someone brought a suit under the equal protection clause. Strict scrutiny? Intermediate scutiny? Rational basis?

Activist judges have completely eliminated "equal" in terms of how government has to treat people. You know, I know it. It's why libs like W and Pelosi hate true strict constructionists. If you read the plain text of the 14th Amendment, the tax code gets freaking flushed along with AA, government set asides for contractors and a host of other big government programs that mouthbreathers in DC push on us.

BTR - you'll be fine. Remember the post earlier today about conservatives being happier than liberals? You can see who is optimistic about our future and who is pessimistic about our future just by reading this thread.

I will even write the most important sentence of the opinion pro bono, to wit, it shall say "Attention hippies and their lawyers, today's decision does not mean that every time government sets a price for something and you can't afford it you have a claim under the 14th Amendment, and anyone who seeks to strike down neutral pricing laws just because they are dirty hippie unwashed poors and can't afford $8 for a driver's license will be subject to a benchslapping and shall bear all expenses associated with the lawsuit."

If I were part of an unchecked democratic majority that could divest the minority of their property rights and gain something for free, I'd be ecstatic. Today is a happy day for libs everywhere. Congratulations libs.

I'm no lib, but my $1200 did make me pretty happy...going towards my education. So BTR, this is an investment to society as my tax return is going towards higher education.

For every person who spends their stimulus check on their education, 20 people will spend their stimulus check at Best Buy.

Here is a deal for you. bince the ceiling for married couples is $150,000, you send me the difference between what my wife and I made last year ($87,000) and the $150,000 and I will send you the $1,500 I am getting. Sound fair?

Sound fair? I have a better deal - I take that difference, then we take the number of hours I studied less the number of hours you studied and multiply it by $100 and add that to the number of hours I work in a year minus the number of hours you work in a year and multiply by $200 (and then multiplied by an exponent of the hours a day I spend effing around on the Wasteland) and you can cut me a check for that amount. Then, you can give me a lecture on how "incentives" is just some mumbo jumbo word an economist crafted out of thin air.

This bipartisan effort to spend $900 per person to return $600 to most people will get the ball rolling like we've never seen.

Quite a step down from your Loyalty Circle, Guenther supporting roots. Is Yellow Lot where auto will be? I'm coming down to watch Illinois' favorite son, Jake Christensen, dominate your secondary all day. Last time I went to CU, we ran out of beer because I trusted an Illini fan to bring it. Note that when I hosted in IC, we did NOT run out of beer. I do not want to go beerless again, thus I hope your spot is close to auto's so I have a fallback source of beer.
