Or done something else?
Ok, so, I was at a stop light and there was a cop on the opposite side. When the light turned green, I went and so did the cop to make a u-turn, He turns on his lights, (he wasnt going after me btw), and starts following me, as we get to another intersection, he goes around me, but my question is, did I do the right thing in keeping on driving? He was behind me for like 30 seconds trying to pass me, but neither of us could get into the other lane to get over. should I have stopped at the green light before because he had turned on his lights right away. Just wondering if I did the right thing or not, no biggy really, nothing happened to me.

You need to get the hell out of the way as fast as you can....next time he may be coming to help you.

What I forgot to add is, after you get over and let them get by you, you hurry up and jump back into their lane right behind them. You can make some serious time across town that way. ;-)

If he's behind you with his lights on- you should make every effort possible to pull over / get out of the way.
If that means slowly entering an intersection while the light is red, do so - as the people coming counter to you see the police car & will understand. And as JA says, you get a "free pass" to proceed through that intersection after he passes.
If you are on a road with people in a lane beside you, slowly start going into their lane - enough for the officer to pass, then pull back.

Are you serial? Get the eff out of the guy's way. Did you really graduate from the U?
In all likelihood the dude had to get to QT for a coffee top off, but on the off chance that someone had an emergency, the time you dawdled around could have caused a tremendous hardship on someone else.

what i have been taught, Regardless if you think he is after you, when you see lights flashing you pull over as soon as safely possible. Then you hope that he drives around you.

In this situation, as in all situations, you pick the option that will benefit you the most monitarily.

I gotcha. I did speed up and he was able to get around me easily. If I had tried to get over I would have gone over decent sized curb. It was over on Douglas Ave, by the interstate. Fucking sucked because I saw him put the lights on and I was thinking, What the fuck would I have done wrong, I was at the stop light and had my seat bealt on, so he cant get more for anything. Im a dumbass LOL.

Most of the light around here turn in their favor because of a strobe light on there car and sensors on the traffic light. Secret is to follow close enough no one else can get in your way. It's kinda like hitting the traffic lotto.
