No, not because he owns every volume of the Animal Trainer series, but because he saw a liquor store going out of business sale and rolled in and bought 2 bottles of 32 year old Oban for $170 a pop, one of which he is selling to me and one of which he is drinking. That shit is gonna be hella good.

It might be a better bargain than you know...
If the bottle was 32 years old when it was bought by the store, given they are now "going out of business"... that would lead one to believe the bottle is likely much older than 32 years old.

Most def - I think Oban puts the year on all their bottles other than the standard 14s, so I'll find out when I get my grubby paws on it. I will have to put that thing away and save it for something really special, it will be hard to do.
My father-in-law had a bottle of sake that was special brewed for some ceremony late in Chiang Kai Shek's life that someone who had attended the ceremony gifted to him. He cracked it open when me and Ma got married and it was hella good, I'm thinking that Oban bottle will have to be saved for something big like a kid's wedding, or perhaps the next time barber comes to Chicago.

Aging happens in the barrel, not after it is bottled.
Still a very nice find.
