This whole thing doesn’t make sense to me. Of course I’m skeptical of a lot of the information being posted on social media. I just read that the Russians have overtaken Chernobyl.
The other interesting thing is I keep seeing reports of how easy it’s been to subdue Russian forces. They are using older tanks that seem to be easily overpowered. There’s also reports of the soldiers being very young and poorly trained. So if that is true I don’t get that. It’s like Putin is really doing this as a distraction for something else. I can’t imagine that if you were going to invade a country and you’re a world power you wouldn’t use your best equipment and trained people to do it in the shortest amount of time.
There was this documentary I watched once or twice about a criminal that does some stuff to distract from what he was really trying to do which was to rob the federal reserve of all its gold with a bunch of dump trucks. I really hope someone is paying attention.

I really hope someone is paying attention. I would say the videos of broken down crappily maintained equipment is 100% legit. Remember that their sole "functional" aircraft carrier is a diesel that needs to be frequently towed. They were a well trained force 30+ years ago but that included people that are now retired (and the people of the Ukraine etc.) I stand by my earlier statement that this will be done in 1 week+. Young dudes have no supplies and their shit is breaking. They are mostly millenials being led by a dude that has an ego that somehow dwarfs Dipshit with an inversely sized military budget. Even our outrageous budget and trained troops produce stories of crappy equipment and readiness... and countless breakdowns. Regarding Chernobyl, I scratched my head with that - especially since I thought that was officially an off-limits place to anyone liking life. Only thing I can think of is he wanted to button down a huge source of dirty bomb material. Relatedly, though he has thousands of nukes - it is expensive as fuck to maintain them and keep them ready. If he were to use one he likely has a 50/50 shot of it blowing themselves up/being a dud vs. launching. |

You never know the veracity of these sorts of videos, but one thing's for certain and that is that I would stay the hell away from a belligerent's vehicle in a situation like this because at any moment a drone coming in at roughly mach 4 could slam into the thing.
