While I’m a believer in positive thinking, this is ridiculous.

While I’m a believer in positive thinking, this is ridiculous. I do not believe that we are staring down the barrel of a nuclear war. That said, the best thing that could happen is if you get the pleasure of watching the large firework before the shockwave does you in. Radiation poisoning is the worst. Not sure if any of you cats have ever seen Radio Bikini, a documentary about the 4th and 5th nuke weapons ever deployed where the military in essence tested them on a bunch of servicemen, but it is fucking horrific (my old man made me watch it in the late '80's when it came out on PBS because he had buddies who had gotten fucked up by Agent Orange). And this is 1940's technology. If you want to see one of the lucky dudes who lived, they pan the camera out at the 51 minute mark:

You never know the veracity of these sorts of videos, but one thing's for certain and that is that I would stay the hell away from a belligerent's vehicle in a situation like this because at any moment a drone coming in at roughly mach 4 could slam into the thing. Maybe I watched too many of those videos from America's last excursion in the sandbox. "Clear to engage?" "Dust him..." Good point. Wonder if we could arrange a remote control lend-lease program. Ukrainians login to control the shit-ton of drones we have been stationing nearby. True WFH sign of the times.

I think Putin and Zelensky should have a dance off. I think we know who would win.

I’ve seen enough historical films of Japan that I know I don’t want to live through a nuclear war. Multiple bombs in the US would be devastating.

Were I driving a tank, I simply wouldn't drive it off a bridge. I guess I'm built different

Were I driving a tank, I simply wouldn't drive it off a bridge. I guess I'm built different Looks like the bridge started giving away and someone nailed the throttle to get over it before it collapsed. The right treads probably stopped spinning because they had nothing to grip and the left ones kept going full speed ahead. The real moral of the story is to not drive a really fucking heavy tank across a wooden bridge.

They're way up there on the hit list. When I first moved to GF in the early 1980s they had crews sitting in B52s at the end of the runway around the clock ready to go. They were afraid they wouldn't get outside the blast radius if the crews were sitting in a ready room and had to run out to their planes when we detected the Ruskies launching.

Since these cunts love Putin, this belongs here. That is a good meme. I'll give it an 8.5 out of 10. Could have broken a 9 had the meme warrior juxtaposed the gals at the SOTU to make them match the original.

The B-52 was truly a sight to behold in flight. Spent my summers near a first strike base in upper Michigan. They only had KC-135s and B-52s. Only purpose was to drop nukes on Russia. Their annual air show always featured tons of B-52 flyovers and simulated bombings (from a low level which was a bit of absurd but you had to do it low because no one would have been to see anything otherwise) and simulated tanker refuelings. How they built those things with 1950's technology is astonishing.

What's y'all's opinion on the size of a bounty, or in Wick terminology, open contract, necessary to take out Putin?
I'm thinking $100 Million would probably do the trick.

Given B-52s have been in service for 56ish% (67 years) of the history of flight (119 years), makes sense. Unrelated. While is a war... and I'm unsure that I would expect anything BUT for Russia to do anything different, this is shady as fuck. www.reddit.com/r/PublicFreakout/comments/t5n6sb/russians_are_hiding_ammunition_inside_fake/
