I know most of you are old as fuck or sedentary and have no use for something like this, but I got an inflatable kayak for 2 on sale for $100 last week. I don't want a hard sided one because they take up too much room and the places here all charge $50 a day or more to rent one, plus when you rent one you are subject to the schedule of the prole working the boat window. I thought this thing was gonna be a piece of shit, but man, I took the boy out camping all weekend and we spent hours out on the lake on that kayak. It was fucking awesome. And my boy refused to paddle most of the time so I got a helluva workout. It was 95 so I ended up drinking 3 fucking liters of water during the time on the water.
Obviously it is only suitable for certain environments and you sure as shit wouldn't want to try it on a river in the mountains, but if you live or camp by a lake and are sick of dealing with sporadic hours of the boat rental places I highly recommend one.
It was my boy's first tent camping trip and despite getting stung by two bees, he says he wants to go every weekend. Of course he didn't have to schlep all the fucking gear and a cooler full of beer and food a quarter mile up the trail. It was my first time visiting that particular park and I didn't realize how far the campsites were from the parking lot, but I really made an egregious tactical error by putting 32 pounds of ice in the cooler.

How is MA at backing that fucking thing up? She ain't allowed to use it. My boy wanted to fish off of it bince no fish were near the shoreline due to the heat and was pretty disappointed when I told him that we weren't going to risk it with fishing hooks out in the middle of the lake.

Hey, is drinking 3 liters of water advisable, (and I am trying to be delicate here) with your incont, er, I mean you know, your issue?

If you had a baller garage like the Siouxs enjoy, you would have no problem storing two 10 foot hard side fishing kayaks. Plus 2 pick up trucks, an SUV and a sports car, although the car is still at the paint shop where it has been for more than two years. I do have to store the two boats (not the kayaks) off site.

Yes, I'm sure I could, but me and Ma try to live pretty minimalist.
