Wow! Not much room to run away from this on that tiny island!

Agreed. Attempts at stopping the motion usually happens too late. Even withdrawal from the area rarely works. Conclusion coming... Explosion is imminent.

Fuck that. I'd get the fuck out of there instantly. I hope they don't have too many bridges on the escape route. Earthquakes are rip shit terrifying and one with magma moving underneath would be like a bad acid trip on steroids.

That’s one of the scariest sounds I’ve heard.

I mean...the entire island is an active volcano.
At some point the active volcano part is going to come into play.

imagine being able to full visualize wtf is rolling underneath their feet.
Fuck.
Just, holy fuck. I would love to visit there some day. Keyword VISIT. How many people in the world you think fully grasp what's beneath their feet? I watched that doc on Netflix earlier this year about White Island in New Zealand, that decided to blow off some steam with tour groups on the ground there. Visiting an active volcano isn't high on my list of things to do.

You're just complacently oblivious to the fact while you're there. Every once in a while they burp and remind you.

Those fucking hot springs all over Japan are because the magma is so close to the surface. We can date out when shit last popped off based on carbon dating the rock, but just like the stock market, past performance does not indicate future results. The Flood of '93 was very likely caused by Mount Pinatubo going off in '91 in the Philippines. That sumnabitch was 10x the size of Mount Saint Helens and cooled the upper atmosphere for two god damned years. Atlanta got one of its worst ever winter storms in spring of '93 and the Midwest basin got rained on every fucking day for over a month because the jet stream had cooled down so much that every time it hit moist air over the center of the continent it caused major rain. These jackelopes talking about releasing sulfur dioxide into the upper atmosphere to combat "climate change" need to read the fucking Des Moines Register articles in late July of '93 before they get too far ahead of themselves.
