There is a potential powderkeg brewing between Guyana and Venezuela. Biden needs to get the god damned Navy down there right this instant and make sure those oil rigs off the coast of Guyana don't fall into the hands of Venezuela. This is a travesty, the Venezuelans are making a mockery of the international order and MUST be stopped.

Hey Okeefe you ever been to an oyster roast down there? Sounds like heaven to me. How much do oysters go for in South Carolina low country? I only eat oysters from the Pacific Northwest or Maine due to environmental concerns. I used to eat stuff from Japan while over there but after the nuclear incident I won't eat anything from off that east coast of Japan, which unfortunately is where the family is. I am going to Hokkaido next summer for a father-son trip, I will likely eat stuff from there if they have anything in season when we are there. There was a place in Charleston that opened a spot here where they were bringing in oysters everyday from Chaz, but it went out of business after about a year. The watershed from the Santee River carries shit from every mountain town in the Carolinas and the rivers will take decades, if not centuries, to become devoid of all the shit from the textile industry. I'll pass on "local" oysters. My philosophy on oysters is that I like them, but I really want them to be from somewhere reasonably far removed from industrialization because I'm a conspiracy theorist. Same for all seafood, really. It could wind up being like margarine was in the '80's. "Eat seafood, it's good for your heart." "Oops, sorry about all the cancers that everyone got from eating the fish living downstream from that defunct GE facility..."

I usually just drizzle ivermectin all over my seafood, there's studies done on YouTube showing how it eliminates mercury, lead, PCBs, radionuclides, etc..

Thank you, xir. That article makes me feel a lot better that Maduro's illegal, illegitimate and dangerous regime will face serious hardship if they try to capture this ground. This line in particular made me feel good:

Interesting…few dishes scream "Lowcountry" quite as loudly as Frogmore stew (also known as Lowcountry boil, Beaufort stew, and tidewater stew). The seasoned medley of boiled corn, shrimp, sausage, and potatoes originated in St. Helena Island in Beaufort County, South Carolina. The area surrounding Frogmore Plantation on the island was referred to as "Frogmore" until the town lost its post office in 1988. I still find the South Carolinian naming conventions to odd as Frogmore stew contains NO frogs let alone MORE frogs. Similarly Chicken Bog is just a chicken sausage risotto that contains no bog. South Carolina barbecue doesn’t even contain barbs as far as I can tell! What the fuck are you Southerns even doing!?
