The Dogs just won the Valley tourney by beating Indiana State, Creighton and Illinois State each three straight times this year.
Not easy in any league. Illinois State is as athletic as half of the Big 10 teams...don't choke...them's the facts.
This Drake team was alot of fun to watch. Drive, dish, shoot three's, assists for layups,, assists for treys. They beat a very good ISU team by 30 in he finals.
With a little luck of the draw this team could win 30 games...but again, this is a the whims of the selection committee. GO DAWGS.

BTR and I are big time Hawk fans. I've had FB season tix for ten years and have followed the Hawks since I was a little kid. That said, BTR and I are Drake grads, so sorry if this pisses you off, but all kinds are welcome here, unless you are shilling for someone on those other sites.
Maybe your just in a bad way tonight, but not what I'd expect from you Suite...

Bullshit. I graduated from UNI undergrad. I hope they do well too. But they compete with Iowa for wins, and frankly that is the antithesis of the point of this board. So if you and BTR want to do the elephant march for Drake, that's fine. Just do it elsewhere. If you do it here, then Autolykos will start putting up posts about his Illini and say, "Hey, they are the Big 10, and all Iowa fans should cheer for the Big 10." Then Haskell will say, "Ya man, and bince Nebraska is Iowa's neighbor, Iowa fans should cheer for them too."
And OK, I could live with those lines if it stopped there. But it won't. Next thing you know, somebody like SoCal will say, "Ya man, and we should all be cheering for Canada here, bince they are our ally and Obama will still trade with them." Again, not terrible even though Obama is going to terminate the agreements (or maybe that was just "Campaign Talk.") But it gets worse.
Then you will have what is the most offensive...MoHawk will say, "Like, wow dude! Bnce we cheer for Drake, UNI and ISU because they are in Iowa; and bince we cheer for Illinois and Nebraska because they are next to Iowa; and bince we all like Canada because it is next to the Great USA; and bince half of Canada rolls around speaking French; therefore, we should all dig France." And then he and BTR will start posting in French and BTR will start kicking people off the board who want to argue. This Board will then officially suck, and 100% of it will be because we "don't mind Drake."
No, sir, not this Hawk Fan. If you don't stand for something, you stand for nothing. Vince Lombardi didn't want his players being friendly with other teams, and that is the way it should be. It seems to me, ol' Vince knew a little something about winning. The friend of my enemy is my enemy.

Barber is so full of shit. He used to catch for UNI and he seriously has about 50 pieces of UNI apparel. The past few years around tourney time, he would always be decked out head to toe in purple and yellow. He would wear a UNI sweatshirt, purple and yellow Minnesota Vikings Zoombas with a pair of purple UNI shorts over them and a UNI ballcap on backwards with a little tuft of hair strategically pulled through.
He would always get into elephant marches with his UNI buddies, where he would always insist being the front guy.
Showing UNI and Drake love on this board is fine, but ISMoo, Nebraska and Illinois love are forbidden.

It wasn't actually that early. I'm in Puerto Rico, so it's an hour ahead.
Sure BTR, I have 1 UNI sweatshirt (which I've had since the glory days in the early 90's at UNI) and a ball cap - from being a scholarship contributor (note - as a former ball player, I don't wear ballcaps backwards that are not fitted, so no "tuft of hair" exposed).
But you won't catch me spewing Panther love here. Or speaking French. You have really disappointed me.

If anything, that GPA makes me seriously question the academic rigor of Drake. My guess is you were taking classes like "Modern Leftist Thought" and "Fascism and The Modern Democrat - How to Appear Friendly While Robbing People of Freedom" where everyone who can regurgitate Marx and Engels gets an A.

I know, I saw that this morning, right next to "pollution" and "genetic modification of life." That's why I asked if he defined obscene? My guess is that he left that fuzzy otherwise the Catholic Church could potentially be deemed to have accumulated obscene wealth. Regardless, I anticipate that within 72 hours, you will take up the religious right's tactic of saying "the Church said ____ is bad, so we should prevent ___ from happening" you are now EverGhost. Your arguments will soon read "The Church says accumulating obscene wealth is bad, so we need a 98% income tax on any income over $100,000."
