simple enough question.
I either cut them diagonally so it makes two triangles or don't bother cutting at all.
what about you guys?

I never cut my own, but the kids always had to have their's cut diagonally. Wouldn't eat them otherwise. I blame their mother.
It's kinda in the same category as the great TP debate. IF I bother to put the roll on the roller-thingy on the wall, it goes over the top. But half the time I don't bother.

I never cut sandwiches that I'm going to eat. Now for the wife, she insists that I cut them in half, but doesn't care how I do it.

It kinda depends... Usually I cut diagonally, but with some sandwiches I go for rectangles over triangles. I could explain further, but it's a rather complicated and time/event-specific procedure with many variables and would be difficult to convey without aid of a short video, flow charts and intricate Venn diagrams.

If I'm going to stack Dinty Moore Beef Stew or Spaghettio's with Meatballs or Franks on my peanut butter (Jif of course because choosy Hawkeyes choose Jif!) samiches, rectangle is definitely the way to go. It is very frustrating trying to get those meatballs to perch on the diagonally sliced corners without losing them on the trip to your mouth.

I don't cut my sandwiches. I have "people" for that. As for MY 5 & 3 yr old masters, I vary the cut - depending on: their likelihood to eat the crust that given moment, the sandwich contents/messiness. -As I spend an extra minute arranging the (mini squared, mini triangled, long rectangled, circled) sandwich and sides into an edible picture on their plate --- causing them to eat about 50% more of the lunches I make.

If I do, diagonally, but I usually don't.

The only time I cut my own sandwich is if it's a 12" sub.

I rarely cut my sandwiches anymore, but when I do, diagonally is far superior to halfing them.

"I don't cut my sandwiches. I have "people" for that."...SoCal
Is it not enough that our tax dollars go to pay for your samiches at the soup kitchen? Now our tax dollars are going to your "people" too?

I'm a moderate when it comes to samich cutting. I do a slight diagonal in the middle of the samich(restaurant cut).

You wouldn't think geometry would have such a practical application, but it is essential when attempting to feed little ones.......such a crazy phenomenon!

I don't cut my sandwiches either, it's too time consuming and I'm hungry.

I eat my sandwiches with a layer of crunched Nacho Chessier Doritos, I leave my sandwichs whole, its easier to keep the chips on a full sandwich.
