I'd be happier if my resume had a 3 year stint at Enron than 3 years in the mortgage business. There is only one man to blame for this guy's situation: W.

And what's the deal with 1900 a month in unemployment? Man, that's almost $23k a year. Good work if you can get it.

I work very closely with underwriters, and have seen too many layoffs in the last 6 months. It certainly brings a human element when you know their friends and families.

Many of them were placed into risk mitigation positions, aka Collections. Most of them hate it, but at least it puts food on the table.
