Decided after Spring Break to not return to school at Iowa. The Iowa Football APR is going to be horrible this year, it possibly could lead to penalties.

Worst news of the day. I hope Greene is in football shape or that we have another few Sam Brownlees on the roster.

WTF???
Might as well run five-wide all year.

Ferentz claims it was homesickness. Losing Ford really stings now.
We can't go five wide too much because we've lost too much receiver depth in the past few weeks, too. The Hawks need a good year this year because the luxury boxes are up for renewal at the end of the season. I'm scared if those get undersubscribed and they have to take a price hit up there, Joe Fan like us will get squeezed.

No fear. I am certain that the genius of KoK will shine through as he changes the offense to account for this! .... or not.

Also, I will be at the Spring "Practice" on the 19th. Should I bring my cleats and mouthpiece?

In KOK's defense, he did a decent job of adjusting in 2004 when we had no running game. Although every time I try to give him credit for the adjustments, I think back to Drew scrambling for his life and making a miracle play happen, so I dunno.

This is punishment from the football gods for not running the ball more last year.

While this isn't good news, I don't think it is the end of the world. KOK doesn't have a fucking clue on how to use the RB anyway, I'm sure he can find someone to run over the left guard on first down, run over right guard on second down, then pass protect in the backfield on 3rd and 10.

Oh, for chrissakes.....
Pugh, a sophomore from Naples, FL, was the only returning Hawkeye rusher with game experience. He played in five games last year, rushed 17 times for 40 yards and scored one touchdown.
Give the kid a break. I'll bet you we have someone on the roster that's capable of 17 carries for 50 yards... A 25 FRIGGING % INCREASE!!!!!!

What if Guillory or Paki or some killed pulled at random out of a freshman Rhetoric class (do they still make kids take that?) break off a 52-yd TD run on their 14th carry? Comparitively speaking, that's frickin' Heisman-caliber stats right there.
We'll be fine.
Probably.....?
